This is an interesting topic! I like playing CoC on a tablet(Ipad mini), IF I used my phone it would not be to attack!
if you are looking for a phone and dont mind the budget , get the Galaxy note 4. Although note 3 is as equally good as note 4 when it comes to clash of clan, note 4 has better specs which u can also use it for your daily life. If you are simply farming and going offline all the time u can get a note 3/4 because of the big screen.
If you are trophy pushing or need to stay online every pushing/farming session you are better off investing in a Galaxy Tab S8.4. With its 8inch super amboled display and powerful battery life , theres no regret to it. I consider mmy Tab S as a lucky charm because previously i was using a LG Gpad and after i got my TAB S for trophy pushing i made it to titans league within a week from master 3. Yes a good device does effect how you perform in raids. A laggy device will only slow down your reaction.
Majority of my clan have the Note 4 and Note 5. Clash looks and plays great on them.
I also got one of those Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 battery packs and extra replaceable batteries for my Note 4. So I have plenty of juice to keep me clashing all day and night.
I reccomend the oneplustwo or a nexus though, cheaper and better
That isn't so much about Samsung as about playing with older and so rather underpowered phones.
That phone will tend to have heating issues with quite a few recent apps, because most of them tend to be built with the processing power of the most recent phones in mind.
If the S4/5 are still having similar issues (and even more so if the S6 is), then it might be particular to Samsung.
Although my Sony Xperia Z1 (also a fairly old phone now) does get pretty hot when playing. My new LG G4 less so.
I have the OnePlus One and I am really pleased with it. It's using CyanogenMod based on Android.
5,5" display, good resolution and colors.
Perfect performance, no delays or something and no heating up also when playing for hours. The battery is also fine and lasts very long.
I could absolutely suggest it!
Greetz
1) Bigger screen, bigger battery will make a big difference 2) CoC isn't a hardware demanding game so a reasonable processor and memory will do. 1.5 GHZ quad-core, 1GB RAM is more than powerful enough. 3) Screen resolution - you'll be staring at the screen for hours so higher the better. It's your money so if money isn't a factor just buy the best which will almost certainly exceed of the above requirements, except perhaps battery life which is could always be better.
I have an s6 ,note 4 and an iphone 5s...My s6 is the best of the bunch..amazing display, easy to handle and awesome for playing clash..to be honest, iphone 5s beats samsung only on software front...
