Do what you want, its your gems. Not mine that I have to worry about, its your gems that I don't have to worry about. If you ask me every gem is worth putting toward your next builder (unless there's a super awesome 1 gem boost) and little else. Just 2 hours of boosting for 10 gems? No thanks.
Nothing wrong with gemming resources - each to their own. But it is an inefficient use of your gems for sure.
Gems represent time, whether that is a reduction in time it takes to farm up the resources or reduction in upgrade times, it just time.
It's just a matter of how much you value your time.
I don't think it's all that wrong if you only do it very rarely. But if you do it often or even once a month I think it's wrong but I don't really care much if others do it. I do get a bit annoyed sometimes when the higher trophy players just immediately gem everything added in the newest update. It's up to you though, if you don't like doing it then don't do it, if you want to do it and still have fun that way then do it. It's totally up to the person.Quote:

True, neither right or wrong, without people gemming supercell would have to close the game. So for those that's not gemming please be thankful to those that gem. They are the one who supporting us to play for free..
Well some people must spend thousands. The th10 against me this war was completely max d, level 40 aq. His gold grab was less than 100m and had an HH of like 400k lol. That's like 2 aq levels.. Probably spent 2 - 3 thousand $ easy.
The most inefficient way of using your gems is not spending them at all! It's your gems. USE THEM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. :D
