Does it not really? AFAIK, cc troop engaging AI is same for heroes or skelli trap engaging.
Absolutely.
I'm not sure what the relevance of this is.Quote:

Any attacking troops with a "favourite target" will go for that target as long as any are still up, and will totally ignore any defending troops while doing so.
Lava hounds have a favourite target of Air Defence, so will go for those regardless of any CC troops until all ADs are down.
If any lava hounds have not popped when the last AD goes down, then they will no longer engage any defending aerial troops (which by that stage should only be skeleton traps set to air). But they will engage ground troops.
Sigh, no one is talking about hound attacking AQ at all. What are you going on about lol
First, please keep Hound attacking behavior out of this. No one is asking if it will target AD or cc or aq or something else entirely after update.
Second, "ATTACKING TROOPS WILL NOW ENGAGE DEFENDING TROOPS FROM FURTHER AWAY"
Lets take "Defending troops"
They are cc, skellies, and heroes. Yes heroes are defending "troops" category as healer targets them and cc only in defense cc.
So, his question was will the "pups" which has no favorite target and therefore will it be more likely to target AQ nearby after the update?
yes it will because it has more aggro range after the update to defending troops which is AQ too.
So, hence the relevance. hope i made it clear enough
Yes, I believe it does. A few updates ago they made the aggro radius smaller for attacking troops on heros and cc troops. So during a raid your troops would sometimes pretty much ignore the cc troops or queen while getting shot down by them. Sounds like this is a fix for that problem. Should apply to pups locking on the aq rather than nearby buildings, hopefully.
We will see if they found a happy medium. Troops not dropping everything and running halfway across the map because of a skele trap, but also not ignoring the archer queen shooting them in the face either.
What I observed was once the defending troops engaged mine that my attacking troops engaged from that point at a larger distance
Love the change for Valkyrie core rushes
Definetly not the old distance where troops would jog across the map but a more in the middle range
Yes, looks like they've got it about right to me too. Certainly the best of the 3 aggro radii we've had.
What about heroes ? Same for them?
