Most players in this game come and go. They lose interest pretty fast. So it's important to continue recruiting to replace those that go inactive, don't follow the rules, or just plain leave. I try to be a good example, share replays, welcome new members, regularly chat, etc. It's a lot of work keeping a clan alive. And even if you work at it, you'll go through periods where you have a losing streak or a couple of the good guys leave.
BTW, this is true running any clan. I also play WoT and am a member of a clan. The clan scheduled a series of clan war battles where you need 15 players to show up at a specific time. We have 87 members and about 20+ were online. Only 7 of us showed up. Same kind of thing -- you have members and they might even be good players, but if they don't show up, what's the point?
