Do they just disappear or do we get them refunded?
Also, why don't we get to keep them if they survived from the attack?

How do you think troops can magically transport to the enemy village from your camps? Whatever magic allows that expires once the attack ends. Or maybe troops simply can't survive longer than 3 minutes outside army camps (or CC).
Well actually they turn back into elixir, if you actually watch them after the raid concludes...they get sucked backed into the ground to be pumped out by our elixir collectors.
The troops are summoned and can only maintain physical form for 3 minutes outside of an army camp. Except for the King and Queen who are immortal and can return to their alter.

^This. They pop, and their elixer, or dark elixer, is drained into the ground. Then when you create more troops, they are formed from elixer out of the ground. Magic sustains their forms, thus they all look like clones.Quote:
