Just a thought...

Not sure if this has been proposed before, but it's a personal pet peeve. Wouldn't it be nice (read fair) if you could actually get your cups back on a revenge? Not that I can ever revenge in Titan's as a TH9, but its just ludicrous that someone can 2 star me for -32 and they would only offer 1 cup for the 3 star on revenge. Not even worth trying, just have to take the loss with nothing to do about it. I am well aware this is the nature of the game, and I'm normally the first to say "If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen" but a more balanced approach to revenge would be a welcome change.

Cups on revenge isn't the problem. The problem is you can't revenge anyone in titan lol. As soon as they log off, they get attacked by people in matchmaking and aren't available to be revenge for a short while. In other words, unless the first few potential attackers next on your revenge candidate, you don't even have a chance to revenge him. For all intents and purposes, I'd say from low to mid champs + the revenge feature does not work at all.

Indeed, both need help. People deserve to get revenge once in awhile. My proposal is universal though, everyone should have the chance to get their trophies back. The opposite is also an issue; just because you hit someone for 1 or 2 cups, doesn't mean they should get to revenge you for 57! I understand using the difference in present trophy counts to determine the original offer for MM, but on revenge, it's not necessary to factor them in.

That sounds fair, but they need to make revenge an option for high leagues first.

Personally, I think leaving the button there, but making it not work from about M3 up is just irritating. We had a clan push and I had to keep explaining to our guys why revenge-stalking someone is a waste of time. And that the target wasn't cheeting. Much easier if they just removed the button completely at higher cups.

The whole +1/-39 needs fixing, and not just for revenge. +1 raids are so silly - I've had them where I can easily 3* the target, and just quit after getting the first star, because there isn't any credit given at all for the 2nd and 3rd stars.

In matchmaking, the +1/-39 makes total sense: if you're hitting bases far below you, the number of cups offered should be proportional (as it is). The only "solution" for this in matchmaking would be to revert to the old system that sought out bases only within your range. As I said in an early reply, this is fine and as it should be, but revenge need not be the same way. Hitting whales would be riskier.

As per the ability to actually revenge, it's like Johnny said, it has to be fixed first. Perhaps eliminating the 40% shield on revenge attacks would be one way to go...

Ignoring the fact for now that revenge doesn't work at high leagues your proposed solution would lead to people looking to climb very quickly. Stockpile a bunch of weak snipes from silver/gold. Climb really high and then you have 30+ bases you should be able to 3 star for 20-30 trophies and they might actually be available. I'm not sure if I think 500+ easy trophies is a good idea for high trophy pushes.

Above you state the only solution for +1/-39 is to tighten the matchmaking trophy range but they could also change the formula used to calculate the amount of trophies. Instead of having 1 the minimum trophy offer make it 5. I don't think I have ever heard of people complaining about being sniped for 2 trophies (although they would for a bit after a change like this).
