However, you only need like 1 million at a time for a long time more, so that's like an hour of raiding, and you can keep storages empty between builder projects. Other people around here though seem to think you'll create a wormhole or something if you upgrade with even a single wall that isn't maxxed.

I was about 10 hours from my TH9 being upgraded, and then canceled. I had Mortars lvl 6, cannons level 10, archer towers lvl 10, wizard towers lvl 6, all teslas lvl 2, all ad lvl 3 and only lvl 7 walls.
Now I am about 75% lvl 8 walls, all ad lvl 5, teslas going to lvl 5 right now. Will be starting teslas to lvl 6 then after 2 days will begin construction of th9. (want all my workers free for TH9 goodies!!
