I much preferred the old style look of the original and will be hiding it with trees,
It's like telling someone they have spinach stuck in between their teeth. Telling the truth as you see it is almost less cruel than letting them go forth and gross out the world with their dental "decor."
I preferred my old soup kitchen. I loved the way everything moved and worked. Although the flames on this new one are rather enjoyable.
It's cute but I preferred the old one too. The new soup kitchen sort of favors the style/design of the hatmaker to me.
Mine was already behind the trees...I'll have to pull it out and look closely, lol.
I kind of like the look of the new soup kitchen, but prefer the old one. The original went well with the cake oven and popcorn maker, where they all have the same iron stove look. And I liked that I could overlap the soup and popcorn machines and make it look like one long stovetop. Oh well, I'll get used to it.
Very disappointed in the redesign, which is not to my personal taste at all. I wonder if the game is headed toward attempting to have more appeal to younger players? Although toddler toy and Barbie dream house are certainly spot-on descriptions IMO, it is part of a game full of goofy whimsy and I will likely just follow others' lead and hide it if it annoys me too greatly.
Tigg -- you and I have been friends for a long time and I respect you. But I think this post unfairly personally attacks those who don't like the new soup kitchen redesign with an insult, followed by a gut-punch gotcha analogy that really does not apply.
Is deliberate, soul-destroying cruelty from a parent towards a young child really equal to impersonal opinions and observations that the new soup kitchen clashes with the overall rustic design of the farm machinery? REALLY?
This new soup kitchen is fun and retro 50s cool, and would be absolutely darling and perfect in the diner in the town. It would also look great in a restaurant game.
BUT -- On the farm, along the dirt road, outside, with the cow pens and the creaky grill and the old-timely ovens, it just looks strange.
As a professional graphic designer, the person who drew this up would know that already. We're not telling him/her anything s/he doesn't know in their art-hearts.
And there is no need to be ashamed of me -- I have done nothing shameful.
