I like the animations of the new soup kitchen but I must admit I preferred the grey scale, old color scheme of the soup kitchen. Was there a reason it was updated or did they just think people wanted it to look different?

Tigg... this ain't my kid. It's a game I spend money on. Graphics guy gets a paycheck, not mother's love. For the record, I'm not a fan of anything in this update.
I preferred the old soup kitchen. One of my favorite machines.
And I m sorry I bought the new white horses. They attack my other horses.
I love the autumn theme, though, if you want to hear something positive.
Fine. But the guy who fixes the bugs isn't the same guy who draws the designs and both are human beings. They both deserve more respect than they are being given. For the most part none of us playing all the time have the skills to do what these guys do. There is still no excuse to be mean. Period.

I would like to join the "I don't care for the redesign of the soup kitchen" club, which includes membership in the "where's the table and chairs for the pasta kitchen" club.
I was pretty surprised (and this time, it wasn't a good surprise) to see the new soup kitchen. Like others have mentioned, the old design had a rustic, homey feel that fit right in with the other kitchen production machines. I didn't realize the table and chairs were missing from the pasta kitchen until someone in my NH mentioned it, and though it doesn't provide the extreme change of the soup kitchen, I prefer the eating space.
This isn't the first time SC has redesigned a machine, but the last time was a good bit before I began playing a little over 2 years ago. I saw pics of those old machines and those changes were great. This one, not so much.
Would really love to know the thought behind this change when there were/are so many other things that could have been a better use of their focus and talents.
I loved seeing my gnomes sharing a pasta dish. Now the lasagna is hanging in midair between them. No table. No chairs. Plus that soup kitchen is a horror show. Please lets get the 8 year old girl designer out of the design room pronto. Give her a Barbie house and leave my farm machines alone for Petes sake.
Tigg: Sorry, not in the mood to be gracious about this change. Why not clean the juicer up? Its gross. Why mess with a perfectly respectable soup kitchen is what I would like to know.
Pretty much all my machines were hidden anyway, lol.
