Inferno Tower - Best Way to Defeat it

I'm trophy hunting again and specifically trying to take out TH's. I'm just above 2,400 trophies now and the two upgraded Inferno Towers have been turning the tides on all of my raids. The majority are being placed near the center of the base and equally covering opposing sides. Meaning one covers north, one covers south, or one covers east and the other west. If I'm lucky, I can focus the approach not directly facing the tower (ex: send troops from south when they are placed in east and west positions) But by the time I get my troops near the center wall, the tower's coverage extends far enough to reach my troops. I've tried Lightening Spells, but 5 of them won't completely take out a fully upgraded tower. I've tried to avoid them altogether and focus on just getting 50%, but my success rate is not that great there either because the towers will eventually take them out.

Anyone having these same issues, or can offer any advice/suggestions on other strategies that may be more successful?

What's your normal army setup?

I've tried a few, but the most successful has been:

-6 PEKKA
-4 Dragons
-10 Archers

I use 4 Lightning Spells that I'll drop on the Tower and 1 Rage to get the PEKKA's through the first barriers. I also have maxed out Archer Queen and Barb King that I send in with the PEKKAs.

Expensive, but my focus is trophies.

I used to love raiding premature TH10s, but even a premature TH10 with one of these blasted things is a real nightmare.

I imagine the freeze spell would be the most effective solution.

I have only taken one down before, and that was going nuts with rage spells [lv 4], dragons [lv 2], minions [lv 2], & barb king [lv 5] to get in fast. But it only worked as the player had weak/exposed air defenses to get out of the way.

I am only using TH7 troops mind you.

prob freeze spells will help alot. It stops it and resets it..

You really need to use golems, especially if you have maxed your heroes! Try 2 golems, 4 pekkas, 10 wiz, maybe some wb and archers. Freeze spells are fairly useless, they do stop the IT fire from building up though so may be useful that way but I prefer rage. There's no real easy way to destroy the IT's. Drop the golems, rage em and the pekkas to crack into the base quickly. Follow with the wizs, the def focuses on the big guys and they sit behind untouched. Good thing also with golems is your army cooks quicker with them in the dark barracks. Check out some GoWiPe (golem wiz pekka) raids on youtube for some tips.

Freeze Spell.

I am also looking for a solution to attacking Inferno Towers.

The strategy SC has implemented with TH-10's and Inferno Towers have backfired against them. Now premature TH-10's have horrible all around defenses, but with 3 xbows & 2 Inferno towers, thats all they need to avoid all but the most expensive attacks. Introduce the loot penalty and all SC will have are frustrated TH-10's quitting....IMO

So does all the responses so far mean Golems are the only solution?

I have had some success using one golem, 12 wizards 8 giants and 8 breakers plus 2 healers and rest archers. Rage and heal is the key. Fairly cheap army compared to what others use. Currently at 2491 trophies
