So what are you doing now to keep the game fun?

I'm not being ornery or anything. Ive actually noticed some advantages. They should market this and make people buy it with diamonds kinda like a mild SCORCHED EARTH challenge.

Today I've made my goal to put an ad on every item in my shop. I'm half way there!! woo hooo!


Positives I've noticed: 1) My money is going nowhere but up! Maybe I'll finally be able to get that lovely red tractor.
2) I can send away all my townies so my NH can pick up plenty of 1 trip town visitors.
3) I've spent more time with my family
3) ..............tell me yours. And be serious.

I've noticed how well the game is design as far as consumption and production. The thing that seems to be the biggest challenge is bacon and making sure you don't run low on any one crop.

I actually havent met me goal today so I'm going to try again tomorrow. I spent too much time chatting with my hoodies and actually cleaning my house 😱. Oh the horror! Lol!

I'm having a lot of fun interacting with the neighbors and trying to earn as much gold as possible to collect all the gold statues hahaha :D Also, upgrading one's barn and silo is such a rewarding experience although it can get quite challenging and frustrating at times.

This game comes in phases for me some for about a week I will play a lot and then not play for about 2 months

I am in my most serious rut. I can usually dig myself out, but I have turned here... to the forums.... dun dun dun

Just kidding! I hope to share some tips and help others here, since I am not doing enough in game it seems.

Half of hood is opted out and not currently farming and even many friends and followers have stopped farming.

Since i have finished the derby achievements, no more derby for me. So am gonna make cheeses, lobsters n feathers non stop and some premium foods. If my hoodies dont need em, am gonna trade it for barn tools. My only goal in this game is to have max barn n silo n then tackle box if i still have the energy required. Also am a big chatter lol so i know wat to do while the products are getting ready.

My boredom with the game coincides with a time that has become busier IRL on some days so I really don't miss it as much when I can't play. But on days when I have nothing else to do it is harder and harder to keep my interest in it for as long as it used to.

In the past I would use periods of boredom with the game to redecorate. Sadly the edit mode "touchiness" (intentional if we are to believe Nick but has never been clarified as to what purpose the sensitivity serves) has made this an almost impossible task, which adds even more to my disgust at times.

The end result? I've found other games that I play far more frequently than Hay Day.

Oh wow I had forgotten all about this thread........boy that really takes me back. We won't talk about that time period again.

UPDATE: I finally got my RED TRACTOR! woohoo! I'm in a growing busy thriving neighborhood. And having alot of fun derbying and competing in global fishing events with my wonderful neighbors. Some I have known for 3 years others just a few months, but all are wonderful people. I think the NH is the best thing that HD has added because without a great team of people to play with this game wouldn't be nearly as fun.
