Pekka 4, does TH9 deserve it?

It's not just about about balance, it's about variety. As superfinch said, if you want more pekka-power at TH9, use valks. They behave slightly difference, but are a much better bet once you get used to them.

To me, the fact that troops DON'T upgrade evenly is one of the great things about the game. You can't just use the same troops at every TH; in fact almost every TH upgrade you need to learn a new strategy, or at least a modified version of old ones. If every troops gets 1 upgrade every TH, then every TH becomes the same.

So, please, please.... NO, don't upgrade pekkas at TH9. Pekkas are a TH8 troop. They are to some extent a TH10 troop. At TH9 use witches/valks; or do something completely different with hogs/loons. All of which become a bit less useful again at TH10.

I do think lvl4 Pekkas should be unlocked at th9

My problem is that pekka lvl 4 is entirely useless. If a th 10 uses it in war they are a liability.

Really, that's your counter? Up your royals?

BK from 10 to 20 is 675k dark and 65 days of down time.

AQ from 1 to 20 is 1,122,500 dark and 87.5 days.

I guess TH9 should have no problem collecting that much dark with the TH8 leveled troops. The extra 20 troop spaces will make all the difference in the world.....that and the 1 extra spell!

And the best part is the TH9 won't even have to worry about being smashed by TH10 while they are collecting all that dark to upgrade the royals. :rolleyes:


Just for the record, I'm not complaining about PEKKA not being available at TH9. If dragon is available there, I don't see why PEKKA shouldn't also be there.

People like to throw out the "gowipe is a mindless attack" argument, yet ignore the fact that at TH9 you get lvl6 loons and lava hounds. Now they also get to unlock lvl4 dragons. Sure, SC gave us the leaf blower to help defend air raids, but they are still one of the most powerful attacks in the game....at TH9 and TH10.40 DPS and 500 HP isn't a huge stat jump.....not compared to what you get by upgrading giants and loons to lvl 6 at TH9. Giants get a 40% increase in DPS and HP. Loons get 50% increase.

But, but...you get a 4th AD, and 2nd leaf blower at TH9 to combat those air raids. It will only take you 33 days (and 5 hrs), and 8.5 million elixir to get that new AD maxed out for TH9. Not counting the 30 days and 12.96 million for the other 3. It's only 24 days and 9.7 million to get that new leaf blower upgraded, and 4.8 million and 8 days for that first one.


I really don't see why people are so worried (for lack of a better word) that TH9 could possibly get lvl 4 PEKKA.



I think from a business perspective, it would probably make SC a lot of money from players gemming the troop. 7 million elixir and 14 days is a lot. I know most of my clan gemmed PEKKA as soon as they upgraded to TH10.

I think the big perk is having the +1 troop upgrade when donating in clan (lvl5 clans and higher).

LOL. TH9 needs to have 20 king levels and 30 queen levels. If the game didn't have TH9 trying to save up 45k+ DE for each level upgrade who would the TH10 raid to get their dark elixir? XD
