Dont listen to any of these lot. Bam. Barch with8 wb and 8 minions. Spells. I don't use Giants and I'm flying. In are clan we all bam. Real strong. If u just spam troops yeah it's going to be hard, but if u learn what they will do, funnelling is allways a good word, u will bam to th 9 maxed. Think I'm 25/25 heroes and 70 ish lavas, defences near maxed, a couple left. If u want to get fast. Boost 2 rax and if u r feeling it, the spells, another thing, my heroes have been asleep for over 2 months, havnt used them. Get in to a good farming clan so they can teach u the art of the game, good luck
I find BArch effective at TH9, yes it is much harder than TH8, but as you practice you become better. I use it more because I've found I get better value return on time/loot.
It works, but be prepared to have to relearn BArch.
I don't think Barch ever stops working, it's a classic for farming. But the bases you can successfully raid with it are limited, since usually it's just Collector raids unless you toss in some Spells.
As a TH9, you'll need much, much more resources than inactive bases can offer, so I'd suggest switching to GiBarch (you can still only use Barch if you find adequate bases, and save the Giants/WBs) and feast on TH8s' full storages. I use 10 Giants and 10 WBs, and end up actually deploying them only around 20% of the time.
For farming, pure barch works fine for me.
Early TH9 with TH8 army: barch at Crystal III
TH9 barch: C3 to M3
Early TH10 with TH9 army: C3
TH10 with L7 barb, L6 archer: C3 to M2
I ride on the loot bonus DE.
Barch is just as effective at 9 as it is anywhere once you get your levels up. At the beginning of th9 you may be forced to rely on collectors but once your heroes get above about ten you can easily storage raid with barch. When my 9 was farming lavas I used barch with whatever hero was up and 0 spells ever and half of my raids were for 3 on 8s once my heroes got to around 15. Right now my ten is doing the same thing in silver starting to farm zaps. You should also consider there are many deployment methods for barch and some in my opinion are vastly superior......I personally like a 4 finger chaos drop, tends to thin point defenses so a queen can just stroll though the village picking off storages...
