I just recently became a new town hall 9 and was thinking should I continue to use barch as a farming strategy for gold, elixir and dark elixir- getting from drills. I'm just thinking does it still work at this level, did you guys still use Barch at town hall 9? Or did you guys change about and if so how?
opinions needed!
yes it can still be used, but you really need to stop relying on collector raids only; go for some juicy TH8/weak 9 storages with gibarch.
As I'm a new town hall 9, I don't have the good giant level 6 and level 5 giants are pretty useless, so maybe once I get the Giants done I'll perhaps start using GiBarch.Quote:

Giant Archer Combos work well at 9, you can go to almost any core and/or get 2 stars very often.
But Giants kinda require level 6 to that, level 5 giants felt useless.

Pure barch is completly usless as you have already penalty for th7. Although Gigobarch is great. There is plenty of th8 sitting ducks on their full storages waiting to be raped. As soon as you get you giants up to 6 lvl(that should be your first upgrade tho) you can start using Gigobarch. My compositon is usually 12 giants, 8 wb and rest is gobarch mix. Works out fine. Spells 2 rage/2heal and poison for cc. ALWAYS remember to lure out cc units as they can still take down your giants.
