no, my clan have 1 lvl9 wall with some lvl10 pieces and they heroes are still between 15~20.

I farmed like everyone arq/bb/gg/healers

30/30 isn't needed for being ready for TH10 but having them at least 20/20 is necessary. They are worth it though provided you aren't wasting efficiency with elixir and gold.

From an economic standpoint, not at all. I enjoy playing clash of clans, but I enjoy wars. I do not think a mobile game is worth the cost of gemming my heroes, and I don't think the game is fun if I'm not warring. So from an "in the game" standpoint, absolutely, 30/30 heroes are great, but in terms of real life costs, opportunity costs, and enjoyment levels, when I get to that point it's not going to be worth it for me to grind my heroes out unless they make them usable in war.

To each his own... I believe the additional DE drill in TH10 would help speed things up, but of course moving up a TH lvl has its pros & cons....

For me, I plan to fully max out everything at TH9 (AQ 19 / BK 21 / 90/250 lavas atm) =p It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's mine =D

If you are serious about war, max your heroes. If you do not care about war and want to max your base as quickly as possible got to th10 and worry about heroes over there. You can survive with 20/20 at th10 as long as you are not in war. But definitely do not go to th10 with less than 20/20 heroes

This is my feeling as well. Heros ARE absolutely awesome offensively. My queen at level 38 is a lot more powerful than what she was at 30. And that power roles all the way down the levels. I've seen lots of th10's with single digit Heros and I wonder how they do in war and farming. They are a huge advantage in wars, but they also are a huge advantage in farming. I struggled out of the gate at farming when I first went to th10 and I had level 15 Heros. Level 30 Heros would have made it much easier.

its not hard to level up those Heros, you just need to raid with a sole eye on dark elixir. I farm around 40k on a casual non boosting day. When I search I really don't care about any other loot than de.

Have level 30 heroes at town hall 9 is wonderful. Focusing all your attention on getting DE to keep both heroes asleep non-stop is a decision you will never regret.

I say yes. It makes war much easier and I imagine it will make the beginning of TH10 much easier when you are limited to tougher bases with TH9 troops. If you are big into war it makes even more sense as you can enjoy TH9 a bit longer. TH10 is essentially a two star game, where there are numerous three star strategies at TH9. I'm currently 25/23 heros and will stay until they are maxed.
