PART 1
Section I. Thread Summary
Throughout this thread I will go into detail about my idea. Before breaking it down, I will explain the general idea just so you know what is going on as you read the thread. After that I will explain the different strategies that would arise from this addition. Then, I will break down the statistics, making sure to get every last statistic, even the seemingly unimportant ones. The section following that one is where all of the extras go. Extras are important things that don’t fit into any other category. Now, you may have some unanswered questions after the first six sections, so the “Extra Facts” section will be useful, so just read all the way to the end. After that part, I will wrap everything up, which will then be followed by some facts that don’t affect gameplay. At the very end a section is devoted entirely to your questions.
Section II. Idea Description
My idea is divided up into two sections: Pets and Pests. Pets and Pests are very different, and once of the differences is that Pets stay behind and guard your village, while Pests come with you to battle!
Another difference is that Pets are the more major version of everyday house pets. For example, the pet in the place of a dog is a wolf, and in the place of a cat would be a puma.
On the other hand, Pests resemble things you do not want in your household (some, like snakes, are sometimes held as pets, but are considered to be pests for this thread). A giant spider would be a great example. Even animals like raccoons would be listed as Pests.
There is one big detail that I haven’t mentioned yet, and that is that you have to choose one Pet or Pest, and that choice sticks with you until Town Hall 9. It gives you two screens warning you that you cannot buy another pet until that point.
If you bought a Pest at TH3, and want a Pet at TH9, it costs extra, because you have to train them to live around eachother.
Each animal comes with a living space. Each Pet living space has the same statistics, but different from all of the Pest statistics, and vice versa.
Section III. Attacking Strategies
First of all, Pets and Pests hate each other. If they notice each other, they will drop whatever they are doing to kill each other. Once one of them dies, the other will proceed with its normal behavior from where it stands. This causes a whole new punch in the face for attacking because the player needs to know if it is worth it to kill off the enemy Pet before sending in their Pest, or to just let the two fight it out.
Learning what kinds of things your Pest can take care of can seriously help you in battle. If defenses are your trouble, train it to be tougher! If you need to take out more buildings in a shorter amount of time, make it stronger.
Section IV. Defensive Strategies
If you decide to purchase a pet, you choose where to place the pet’s home, which then gives you a wide span of upgrades. You can upgrade your pet’s view range, how well it follows a certain route, as well as how long the pet’s route may be. You can train it to go after hoards of weak troops, or to target individual strong troops.
If the loyalty level is high, it will stay close to its determined path. If you have an open style base, you may want your pet to patrol the inside. If you tuck all of your defenses into the middle, your pet may be of more use along the border.
If you purchase a ground pet but end up making an Air defensive base, you can train your pet to do all sorts of things, like jump higher, to hurt them in the sky, or roar extremely loudly, in order to scare them so that they go slower for a short period of time.

Thank you for finishing Part 1. Part 2 will house the statistics, and part 3 will wrap it all up.
