How do you add names to Game Center?

I have a game Ctr account, but can't figure out how to add someone as a friend there.
Could someone please help with this prob. Thanks so much!
I would love to trade with others for expansion items, etc.

at your GC, theres a friends tab at the bottom, just tap on that followed by the + sign at the top left corner. then key in the person's nick then send.
