How to effectively farm as a TH 8.
This is my first thread I am creating, so go easy on me! I have been a farmer since TH 7, which I believe was about 4 months ago. I am very experienced and have some very helpful tips on how to farm. Let's get started shall we?
1. First thing I do is look at the league symbol. If they don't have a league 5-14 days into the cycle then they are most likely inactive. Secondly I look at the total loot. I'm a TH 8 so ik max loot in storages when I attack a TH 8 198k, a TH 9 is 217,800, and for a TH 10 is 297,000. If the loot exceeds this by over 100k, then AT LEAST 100k will be in the mines. Third thing is look to see if Dark Elixir drill. If it's full, depending on the level, they have been inactive for at least 10 hours. Fourth thing is to look at the collectors and mine levels. If they are the same, look at the imbalance of gold and elixir. If there is 200k gold and 100k elixir, then the collectors have no more than 100k in them. Next thing, is to look at the storages. If the elixir storages have some and the gold does not, than that is a key indicator that at least some is in the storages. Learn to tell the differences between all level storages. If a level 9 storage looks empty and 200k plus gold or elixir, that means at least 90% are in the mines. It takes a lot of practice to go through all of these steps in 30 seconds, but it pays off.
2. If you have a farming army you would like to use, then go to clash of clans army planner. Just search it on google. The reason being is because minimalizing troop time is a necessity for farming. But you can get away with 25 archers/25 barbarians in each barracks since you will mostly do collector raids. This is a good route to go, especially when you see 200k-300k bases you can raid with a few troops. This will keep your army about the same. But, I use 10 giants, 6 wb, 50 archers, 50 barbarians, and 38 goblins and this allows me to achieve collector raids, and break into the center. If you decide to use this, I find it easier to just put 5 giants, 3 wb, 12 goblins in barracks 1, 5 giants, 3 wb, 11 goblins in barracks 2, 50 archers and 10 archers in barracks 3, and 50 barbarians and 5 goblins in barracks 4. My barrack levels are 10,9,9,8.
3.How do you maintain your optimal trophy range? What I do is very simple. I win most of my battles, but I get those 300k raids that I can take out with a few archers and lose 24-30 cups. It balances out in the long run. If you can win the battle, win it, but try to only get 1 star. Don't be afraid to drop 30 troops for 300k gold/300k elixir and lose 24 cups. You'll win more than you lose if you know how to attack.
4. For TH7-TH8 there is no best trophy range. There are a lot of good ones, but each of them have their bad days.
Just a tip, KEEP SKIPPING! In the long run, it is very worth it. Everytime I search I look for 200k raids. If I don't find them quickly, then I lower my target to 150k. I always find at least that good. And that is how you farm effectively. I hope I helped. If you wanna see how farming has suited me....
5. Results: When I was farming my level 8 walls, which I got in 25 days, yes all 225 in 25 days (some days I didn't even raid much) I was raking in 7m-10m a day. But wait, I still made enough to make sure I had all 4 of my builders sleeping, with number 5 on standby for walls. Since I have no need to grind anymore, I spent 7.5m gold in one day, and by the end of the day I had max gold again so I haven't attacked in 4 days since all workers are busy. If you are good at math you know that I made 7.5m gold that day. The least I have made in 1 day at TH 8 is 4m I believe, which were days I wasn't feeling well, or I went to the gym.
6. How much an hour can you make. Usually for me, it flucuates. Some hours I decide I don't want to constantly play and be cost effective with troops, and only rake in 500-600k, but other hours I'll raid cost effectively getting more than 3 raids per hour in and make anywhere from 1m-1.5m. Yes those numbers are realistic.
7. HAVE A GOOD BASE!!!!!!!! Have a base with TH outside, which protects your resources very, very well. I don't lose more than 70k gold out of storages even to dragons with my base design. The last 2 days I have had 2 raids where they stole 189k gold, and 216k gold respectively. Keep in mind that my collectors were full, and dragons were used in one of the attacks. Both attacks stole 1k gold not in my mines. FROM MY TH!!! My gold storages weren't even touched!!!! They have an oppurtunity to raid 500k gold from me right now, and they take 4 mines out out of 6 and don't touch the gold storages. I worked hard on this base, and it works great for me. Unfortunately I don't want it being copied as it is a very good farming base and hard to get all my loot.
I hope this guide helps!!!! xD
