Level 7 walls upgradeable by Elixir

So,

As we all know the walls are upgradeable by elixir from level 8 and up.
Which is a little frustrating for many people like me,
playing with a maxed out TH8 with 6 million elixir and always 0-500k gold.

Why? Becuase I am upgrading my walls from 7 to 8 which is the final step from going to TH9.
It was perfect before, you could level up walls from level 7 to 8 with both elixir and gold.
Now you need 500k gold PER WALL which takes many hours of gold farming just to get your walls up.
This is the part where many clash players quits the game because they get tired of only upgrading walls.

So supercell, if you want clashers to keep playing the game you should bring back the old way
by adding the feature of upgrading level 7 walls wih elixir. I'm out soon aswell.

You should read the update notes for when upgrading walls with elixir was moved to level 9; those notes should answer your question and should make you understand why this is not a good idea:

Our primary goal for Wall upgrades using Elixir was always to give players more flexibility when pushing their Walls to higher levels, so pushing the Elixir option to Wall level 9+ will help us keep this flexibility for the most expensive of Walls while still retaining more Elixir in mid-level battles for when you go on the attack.

Read that topic; SuperCell thought a lot about it when they made these changes. The removal of level 7 & 8 elixir walls came with other benefits such as level 12 mines/collectors and the extra drills.

All this may seem like a pain for th8s to handle, but removing that pain for them resulted in a lot more troubles for the upper TH levels, which didn't have where to take their resources from anymore. Since SuperCell figured that out and took actions to get the economy back on track, I doubt they will ever change the walls with elixir back.

This would ruin the economy at TH9+, TH8 isn't meant to be the endgame.

Unfair for some peeps

What about the person that already has farmed / Gemmed the Lv8 Walls already? it will be unfair Right?
BTW I'm a TH 8 Also and I don't feel that boring farming up those Skull Walls bout 80% of my base is Skull and I never Gemmed You R Just Too Lazy.

Well,
Upgrading lvl 9, 10 and 11 walls with gold and elixir should also be unfair for those who maxed out their bases before adding this feature to the game.
lvl 6 archers used to cost 7.5 million when they were the maximum level but now they cost 6 million.
These are just 2 examples
things change!

As for those who gemmed their walls, it won't be unfair because he will gem either gold or elixir to upgrade his walls and with or with out this feature, the cost will be the same.

It's not unfair.

I agree with this thread, and for those who think it will break the economy, there are reasons why it won't anymore:
1. Level 12 collectors doesn't make such difference when upgrading walls... instead only makes inactivity more common.
2. So... if THs 9 had problem finding elixir because TH 8 used it all, from where they find gold? I'm sure it's not from them. Also, those people from who they find gold, ALSO find elixir, so it's not a problem. And, one of the reasons that the economy "broke" is because of the old matchmaking, that made THs 9 only finding good oponents at higher leagues.

Umm the economy WILL be broken. Think of it this way. You, role play this part, just got to th8 you are out looking for all the elixer to do your normal upgrades, pekkas golems Valks so on, but can't find elixer anywhere because all of the TH8 elixer is gone to walls. Now that is just for th8. It takes a long time (or alot of raids) to get the elixer need to farm at Th9 I know. If they make th8 walls UG with E then it will take a heck of alot longer and there would be no point in even tryin as there already is a low amount available. They make up for the lower amount of elixer by giveing a decent win bonus. You want to UG walls at TH8, upgrade your league. I just hit master league yesterday and the win bonus there has helped me to start some upgrades that would have taken another week to obtain in crystal. There is always more that one way to sheer a sheep. Keep in mind you will get crushed in masters or higher but if you can get two or three decent raids with the loot bonus that will equal 4-5 wall pieces (very easliy) per day.

You're beating a dead horse by arguing against something that was proven through actual practice to be a failure.

They're not going to bring back a broken feature that already failed and was removed because it caused too many problems.

I'm not. Look at the facts! THs 9 can easily beat a TH 8 only using basic farm techniques (level 6 Giants plus level 5 Wizards, which are cheap). TH 9 steal elixir from TH 8, but TH 10 can't steal elixir from TH 9... what about this? Upgrading walls to level 8 are harder than upgrading to level 9? Nope. This shouldn't happen. Thus, the few gold they have are completely stolen from TH 9. Yep, getting gold is hard in both sides, but is better than having only one person having advantages, doesn't it? With a few hours, TH 9 can get up to 5 lava walls. This is just OP. In truth, I'd say walls could be upgraded with elixir since level 4. This would make fair for most levels than just higher levels.

Upgrading walls to level 9 costs twice as much as upgrading walls to level 8. 500k * 250 = 125 million and 1 mil * 250 = 250 mil no matter how you look at it. Not to mention the fact that TH8s only have 225 walls to upgrade, not 250 like TH9s.

You mean to tell me you can't farm at least 500k gold in one session? How many raids does it take you to save up 500k? Seems a bit easier to me than trying to save up 1 mil increments for level 9 walls and 3 mil increments for level 10 walls.

If you're farming 15 mil within a few hours at TH9, what's stopping you from farming 15 mil within a few hours at TH8? Well, TH9s can spend the elixir they farm on walls if they choose, you might say. Oh, but you want to stay at TH8 to enjoy the special protections that TH8s get from being raided by TH10s (lower matchmaking priority, and a 50% loot penalty for any TH10 that does happen to find you). Or maybe you want to be able to continue raiding those weak TH7s without the 50% loot penalty you'd have against them as a TH9.

There are both pros and cons to either staying at a lower town hall level or moving up. This is the way it should be. You shouldn't be able to have the protections of being a lower town hall while enjoying the benefits of being a higher town hall at the same time at the expense of all the other players higher than you.

And if they did that, you would definitely see the reasons why levels 7 and 8 were removed from being upgraded with elixir. In fact, I'm pretty sure you would be begging them to revert it within the first week of it being implemented.

I can understand why you would want this to make it easier for yourself right now in the present because you weren't a higher town hall level back when elixir for level 7 and 8 walls was possible. You don't have any first-hand experience of the damage it did to the economy. You're also not thinking about the future when you'll be a TH9 and eventually a TH10 and the problems you would experience if this were to happen again. You should be happy that it's not going to happen again, too, so that you'll be able to continue playing the game at higher levels.
