you may have played the game a few times... maybe it was the only game available at that time that really got you in...

but at some point.... I don't know any games that you could play for an entire life without any updates or even with somes that could get you in for life...

so yeah... i guess eventually coc will cease to gather newcomers.. but it doesn't mean there won't have anybody at all that play... his lifespan is great

almost 2year in the game and not even close to max... well maybe around90% since i'm max def th9 with lvl20+heroes and ALL the stuff to do in th10.. i guess i'm around 80% done... (regarding upgrades)

then there is achievements...

sure thing that one day the game won't be as much appealing at it is.. but the day seems far to me

Every update the game becomes longer and harder to max. With this people give up the game or go to war, going to war is boring so in a year they give up. The guys maxed want updates to make the game intresting so for the bottom players, again it gets longer and harder to upgrade, so they give up, then the top guys give up as they have been playing for 3 years. In the end no one is playing the game. It's a wheel of destruction.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any data or evidence at all to back up this claim.

Not speaking for anyone else, but personally, I enjoy new content.

But let's assume you're right. What's your solution to this hypothetical problem? Are you saying SC should stop releasing new content so everyone can reach the max level sooner with nothing left to upgrade, and this will keep everyone happily playing the game for years to come?

Every game dies at some point. I don't think coc is at that collapsing stage and it's hard to forsee future.Let's enjoy this moment ,shall we??

Doubt this game will end any time soon. Worst case, if they sense the end is near, they add TH11 if they haven't already by then and everyone hypes it back up and plays again. I bet this game has another 5 years, if not more. Not everyone starts the game intending to completely max. Some people have completely maxed th9's and 8's but don't want to upgrade because they are content where they are. COC is fine.

I'm just glad I'm not a SC employee. There is no way to make Clashers happy.

People complain about the game getting boring after a while, so they add new content. Now they complain about the new content being horrid, everything's difficult, nothing works like it used to. People complain troop AI is bad, SC changes it, people complain troop AI is bad. Clashers ask for a name change feature, SC adds it. Wait, someone changed my name to something ridiculous! Now let us change name more times, why only once? Why, oh, why, oh, why.

Seriously... I'm not saying people should just shut up and be content with what SC gives us. Constructive criticism and suggestions allow improvement. Let's not abuse, though.

I like this thread. I'm guessing it's a troll, though. If you are playing a game you think is going extinct, why be on their forums?

This is a free game, with free updates. Think how many people buy Madden or COD every year? They pay for those updates, expansion packs, etc. I'm not sure about COD really, but besides roster changes, does Madden ever change a ton? I played NCAA football quite a bit and most years were very minor improvements, so I'd assume Madden was the same way (could be wrong though). I don't think COD or Madden are going away anytime soon, unless similar games that are way better come about. Plus, if another game came out similar to clash that was better, I'd assume SC would spend more money to make major additions, plus who wants to get rid of a year of work on their base?

With new updates, come new attack strategies. More and more updates makes the game more fun, not the other way around

Just because you bored it doesn't mean its boring for millions other. You take this game too seriously and when the game is heading to the path that you don't like you start to condemn the game. If you want to upgrade faster use gems, If you don't want to use gems then enjoy every farming and every upgrade. If you don't like to gem and don't like the grinding then you should take your time off the game and thinking another hobby that you can actually enjoy.

SC has the stat, if the stat stays positive then COC won't be extinct anytime soon.
