Some type of Golem nerf seems inevitable given the success rate of 7 golem attacks. An easy fix would be to have Golems take double damage from cannons only. This would be just like how Pekkas take double damage from teslas. This would also make cannons more useful on defense since they can't target air.
This won't be popular but something needs to be done to level this major offensive advantage.
If this was done, Golems would be useless. They wouldn't be tanks any longer. Honestly, they're fine as they are. The reason why you often see success is due to unexperienced TH10s designing open base layouts.Quote:

Ah mass golem. I love this topic. You know why, because one day people are just going to bring 9 golems, 2 wb, 1 archer or barb and 5 jump spells...
I love these nerf posts which only points out one specific army and says "X" troop is OP based on "X" army, what they fail to address is how many other armies at other TH levels this would affect.
In short don't be so short sighted think about overall balance to the game and other areas this would effect and factor in things that balance out the troop like cost, build time, upgrade times and what other components which makes the army you are complaining about powerful.
With the army OP cited 7 golems, you require high level heroes, this already creates a pretty hefty barrier for most players.
Then golems would be useless. It's like making air defense do double damage on lava hounds or something.
As a TH10 I completely disagree. Sure, if you deploy 6-7 Golems well you are a great chance for 1 star...but who wins wars with 1 star? No-one.
If you path them well, you may get 2.
Getting 3 though with masses of Golems is very rare on quality bases. Plus it requires very high level heroes only few have...it's the strong heroes that makes it work not the Golems.
Golems in some cases are performing well at the moment because so many players are using those awful 'anti Golem' [LOL they don't work] open bases which waste so many of their walls, and also cling onto multiple Inferno Towers. That and the rise of 'meta' bases to try stop the creative 3 star tactics. But tend to open themselves up also to Golems.
Make a base with lots of segments and one/two Singles. Golems are not a problem. I'm a max TH10 who get's hit by Golems nearly all the time, I don't get 2 starred often.
Not only that, a lot of the skillful hybrid strategies would take a massive blow if Golems were nerfed.
Bottom line is, the game is forever evolving; just because there is a shift towards Golems at the moment doesn't mean they need to be changed. Absolutely not.
Haven't you heard players throw around the "How do you get players out of the 2 star GoWiPe rut" threads.
yeah maybe cant stop a 1 star, but its not the golems as Daz said its the heroes doing the damage here.Quote:

Golems are supposed to tank and the mass golem strat aren't too good
Also, not to mention the cost of 7x golems. A golem doesn't tank really well facing several point defenses. It goes down quite quickly.
As stated above, it's a 2 stars strategy, very rare 3 stars. Switching inferno to at least 1 single, my war defenses now is 50% chance either 1 or 2 star.
I think Golems are fine right now, no need to buff/neff it. Unless SC comes out with L6 Golems :thumbsup::cool:
Why would u nerf Golems.. That would ruin the balance of the Game..
If u are so Worried about 7 Golems.. Just Set your INFERNOS to single target .. and space em out ..

Hopefully we do. Defending 6+ golems and limiting them to one or two stars will be easy for our town hall 10s. My guess is you'd run out of time against our better town hall 9s.Quote:
