Jewel Thief (Grimlins????)

This is an idea about creating a new troop desinged only for raiding/stealing gems. I say the troop should be a cousin of the Goblins.... Let's call them Grimlins. They should only take a small percentage of gems , be a little slower than goblins, and take up a few more camp spaces. If a gem box contains 25 gems, the Grimlin shout take 5 per box. You are not able to just loot for gems also. The entire base must be destroyed before attempting to loot for gems. NOTE: If Grimlin is killed or dies, "0" gems are gained. I think it would help with the economy of the game big time. With this idea, the cost of gems can be raised a bit all around the board. From purchase to boosting and rushing. Give it a thought and get back to me. NOTE: If my idea is considered please consider compensation of some sort. More great ideas for the game.

Me... Buys $100 bucks worth of gems for christmas. Gets a text from the wife, answers it, logs back in to see that some grimlins stole 2000 gems... ummmm no.

You're actually advocating for the theft of real currency.

I like the idea of being able to hit a gem box, maybe not by 5 gems every time but by a random number like when you do base landscaping...could be 2-5 gems, could be none. Not stealing from what the defender has already worked hard to acquire though...as said before that can literally be theft of real life money...

This idea only attacks the "gem box" only. Not the germs purchased. I'm sorry if that wasn't clear. But I think it's great for "gemmers" who spend cash and those who's trying to save. I figure you can spend less but gain more. There is no way to loot for gems paid for with cash but there are gem boxes that appear. They are objects in the game containing loot. I don't see why the can't be hit. Like I said, not many gems has to be gotten but it's an easier way to accumulate more. I do think this would be great for the economy of COC. I think it's a win, win situation. If this idea goes through, I'd expect the costs of almost everything to rise a bit. Not much. Any thoughts?

Thank you OP. Its been a while since I've had a good rant on how these ideas are bad. I appreciate it.

These ideas are terrible. Gem boxes are rarely found in a base, and I don't want to log on, find a gem box had spawned overnight, and find out that some noob looted 1/5 of it while I was asleep. Not to mention the farming for gems would TOTALLY throw off the CoC gem economy.

I don't care. I think this is a great idea and better than most. Why not be able to hit for gems??? I have yet to hear at least a decent reason why not other than your scared to lose what is "free". I'm not saying steal real money. THE BOX IS AN OBJECT OF THE GAME. Why not be able to loot for it? Probably not every raid but I think gem boxes should get hit. I get tired of seeing bases with boxes just sitting the untouched. After 100% of your base is gone, why leave the gem box alive? You guys are just scared basically. Or your bases suck and you worry that you will ALWAYS be 3 starred. If u have a strong base you shouldn't worry about your gems. If you can't be 3 starred, your gems are safe... Other than that...... Gimme gimme... Create a good base and don't worry about nothing. Or stay afraid. I take it you guys cry every time you lose gold and elixir huh? What's the difference? Gems are more precious? No.... It's all the same to me... If it can be spent, it can be raised... JUST NOT THE GEMS PAID FOR BY REAL CURRENCY. Not my idea. Damn the gem boxes though. It's only 25 gems. Why not get 2-3 gems for completely burning your base to the ground. Scared money makes no money. My best advice, build a strong base. This idea forces you to have a strong layout.. It forces new strategies and all. Long story short, don't have a garbage base. I'm guessing all those who hate this idea are gemmers. To a real clasher, this would/should make sense. Now give me a SOLID REASON why you wouldn't want this idea... I'm backing my idea up with reasons why we should be able to raid for gems. Back your "NO" up with a solid reason. Don't just say no because otherwise, you sound like a scared little girl.

Don't you already get gems from shrubs, trees, or gem boxes? A gem box spawns natrualy in your base. Therefore its yours only, not for someone to steal it. I mean Cmon loot someone else gem box to only get 0-5 gems? *facepalm* that's not even worth the time for sc to make such a rediciolus thing. I think we get enough free gems, people need to learn how to save them.

True, we do get free gems. You must don't know how long it takes to save up for something like another builder.. Or you buy gems? If so, you wouldn't like this idea. You want to spend your money. You're another fresh spawn with another Horrible idea:facepalm: This game is all about patience, which I see you don't have. If a long awaited, free gem box comes overnight and get's stolen from you, how would it feel? Everyone has to play this little "Waiting Game" for free gems. If you want to be one of those people who can't play the game without gems, than don't play the game. Learn to raid and get good loot instead of relying on gem boxes to boost your collectors:facepalm:

You know it's not like you need a builder to boost things, and unless you have an extremely large resource income, I doubt you have all your builders working 24/7 I mean what about heroes or grinding walls?

No. Just no. Give up on it. We wait weeks for gem boxes and just because you don't get on right when one spawns with this you get less gems.

You can get all 5 builders for free when you get to champs. btw If you want to save gems then don't boost your Barack's and collectors. You can just farm the loot yourself by attacking instead of wasting your gems. That is why I have over 100 gems atm, and I really don't like to waste them. Plus the idea of getting 0-5 gems on a random gem box from someone else is just stupid. You need to raid up-to 10 times just to boost something, that's not even worth it in my opinion.
