Make flying units viable

Air Defense at lvl 1 can DECIMATE most flying units...god forbid they're upgraded. Add to that, Archer Towers (EXTREMELY OP) Wizard Towers, the various traps....well, I'm not using air units atm. I mean, if you disable even just the Air Defense, you've got half the based wiped out and no need for extremely expensive air units.

I see a few alternative options here.
1: Buff the hell out of the air units
2: Make only the Air Defense and traps able to hit air units
3: Make air units EXTREMELY cheap and fast to build so that will offset the frustration of losing so many so very fast.

I can understand your frustration (I've stopped using balloons), but I've actually been pretty successful using a bunch of Lv2 dragons against bases with walls too strong or too segmented for my regular Lv4 troops to get through. If used wisely and selectively with support troops like archers and barbs, it is possible to 2-3 star a lot of TH9 and 10 bases. Not a very efficient troop choice resource wise, I know, but I almost always managed to get enough loot to make a modest profit after subtracting troop cost.

agreed. the thing also the thing is they dont want someone to raid a base with like 5 minions and win.

No one would be able to do that all hes asking is to buff the units of course dragons would be difficult to buff because upper level players would then start to chicken cratch bomb likethey used to maybe just reduce cost of the dragon?

imho the cure for any unit in this game is to make them smarter, or at least target something. A flying version of goblins would cure a lot of issues i think.

No. Minions target anything, goblins prioritize resources first.

I used a Dragon and it completely destroyed a base. The trick is to use any available Lightning Spells to destroy at least one of the Air Defenses (or at least severely weaken it so that a few archers can finish it off). After that, your only worry is the Archer Tower, but even they don't put a dent in even level 1 dragons unless the towers are around level 7 and up. Wizard Towers do nothing, and I do mean nothing, to any level of Dragon.

All it takes it the correct support and the right timing to use them properly.

This. I have a surplus of elixir so I raid with 8 Level 2 Drags and 40 Level 4 Archers or 10 Wizards. I can wreck almost any TH8 and many TH9's. Just Lightning Strike one Air Defense until it is destroyed, send the Archers/Wizards to take out the other Air Defenses, and if there are any remaining Air Defenses send the Drags to take those out.

I think the problem is minions and balloons becuase it is hard to use them successfully if the air defenses are well placed
