Hey kid, at your age, see if there is a local community college that has an introductory summer class that might be cheap to take, or see if thereis an online class through the college.
Clash of clans was created when the sword of a barbarian struck the ground and also at the same moment, lightning struck the sword, thus causing a clash that inspired the game. JK! Well, since you're a young future designer, the only advice I'd give is to do it because you love doing it. By you coming to one of the top grossing games to ask how it was made, makes me think your focus may be on the money. If not, hopefully you're here because you understand the game is real successful, in that case you should study more on why you think it is successful and now how the programming portion of it was made. Also, the most you're probably getting out of supercell is what inspired them to make this game, or the game engine used on it. Best of luck!
I beleive apple has an app developers kit freely available that you can start with.
This game is a hybrid of a new genre called "castle defense." Early games in this genre are still available, the first one i played like this was castles 2 on the pc back in the 80's.
building base games have a long history, you can look at civilization, dune, x-com, etc.
however, if you are looking to be as successful as supercell, that's a completely different story. If i were you, I'd be studying psychology, not game design.
