This game was all nice and fun, playing with IRL felt so rewarding. But now we get against people with 20 spots in castles and face dragons in it, every time, even for lower enemies.
This is [childish offensive word removed by mod], half of my friends stopped playing because of that. Wasting 40 archers and 1 minute of time only because of castle is utterly stupid.

An if you're taking 1 minute and 40 archers to deal with a Dragon, you are doing something seriously wrong.
They are genuinely one of the easiest cc troops to deal with
Dragon in CC can only be at TH6 or higher, wasting 40 archers at TH6 or higher is basically nothing.
Not mentioning that if you massdrag at TH7 and TH8 you don't even need to lure and kill CC because it will happen anyway in the middle of the map

1 minute for destroying dragon? 40 arhcers? It is enough 25 lvl 5 archers and 20 secs.
If they stopped playing because of that, good for them, thats not legit reason, they just wanted to find excuse to quit.
For th 8
Dragon attack - you just deploy them, they will destroy dragon
Gowipie - deploy golems and then wiz, drag gets destroyed
Hogs - only attack you need to destroy drag before deploying other troops, hogs, it takes 30 secs to destroy it, and 2:30 is just nuf for 3 star attack
I would just say ur friends are not nuf skilled and flexible.
Lol you seriously think the game is stupid and impossible to enjoy because of one dragon in people's clan castles? I don't see how dragons are over powered. Their actually kind of easy to take out if you know what your doing. And why bring all 40 archers unless your doing a regular raid with Barch. In war don't bring 40 archers to deal with dragons. Bring a few wiz and way less archers. Also know how your strategy works. Figure out if your attack strategy works better if you lure or don't lure. It can actually be quite simple to deal with dragons. I'll admit, when max dragons first came out and I faced one in enemy clan castle I had a little trouble with it but ever since then, even max drags have become easy to deal with.Quote:

I don't play to crush countless opponents (as I see some replies here, I can see there's many kids with oversized egos here only for that), I want to have fair, interesting matches. I don't care if I lose, but losing because there's no other way than "fighting fire with fire" frustrates me.
At middle lvl (TH6 to TH8), dragons are pain in the ♥♥♥ to face in both attack and defenses. The HP/DPS cap is incredibly high, why such a difference from other units ?
Enlighten me then, from a good RTS / MOBA player (I dare say I have some decent tactic skills), the dragon unit makes no sense in a low - middle war.Quote:

But by the end of TH8 dragons stop being overpowering, even start being quite weak. It's just at the TH7 stage of the game (and TH6 for CC dragon) where they seem unbeatable.
TH8 gets up level 6 ADs which do 230 damage with each rocket. So ten rockets take down a dragon and TH8 gets three of those. Also gets two seeking air mines which do 1500 damage to a dragon, taking a full HP dragon down to red HP pretty much. And there's the sweeper as well.
Dealing with CC dragon also gets much easier with level 5 wizards, which can shoot down a level 3 dragon in little over 9 shots. So two level 5 wiz can down a level 3 dragon in about 7~8 seconds. It takes a just little bit of technique.
In summary, don't be so angry at an aspect of the game which lasts only a while.

Dragons are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed. If you can't outsmart one to destroy it maybe this isn't the game for you.
Clan castles only get worse. For the longest time, spending 45 seconds to a minute every raid just luring and killing the CC was part of the game. In fact, we have a seemingly endless supply of people whining that the poison spell was added to the game because it made it so you no longer needed to waste the first minute of every raid luring the CC (and they consider that to be a bad thing for some reason). The game has thankfully gotten much better with the addition of poison as it has taken away the need to waste a minute luring. Dragons are not as tough as many of the pre-poison CC troop combinations, but the best plan is to just plan for them. Have something in the front to tank the dragon (like barbs or giants) and let your archers and wizards kill it. If you do lure the dragon away you can drop one barbarian at a time to feed the dragon while your archers kill it resulting in the loss of very few troops.Quote:

This right here is the best trick for dealing with dragons in a CC by using its AI against it. I didn't learn it until just recently when I ran across it on a forum post. Just in case you haven't seen this before, you lure the dragon to a corner, spread out about 8 archers on the corner to fire on the dragon, and start releasing barbarians every couple seconds from the corner. The dragon will always turn to fire on the barbarian, leaving your archers to continue firing on the dragon. Drop a poison on the dragon to help slow him down so that your timing doesn't have to be as spot on with the barbarian release. I tend to bring a couple more archers and barbarians to make sure I get it done, but I always end up with several archers alive to start firing on nearby targets.Quote:
