Updates to fix ongoing problems

There is a time and place for everything in every game. I will only say this once more.
When you "have" planned to the best that should be asked of anyone in any game ,only to come up short because your "hero" is shooting at pointless ♥♥♥♥ still left on the board while getting pummeled by maybe the last armament in your way of a 3 star, then maybe you need to tweak your so called heros just a tad. You can only "funnel" so much, for those of you that dont understand a thing I am trying to explain. Your funneling comments,and EXCUSES for the obvious problem are completely inexcusable.

Maybe it's not an "obvious" problem to us. Maybe the rest of us don't have the problem and it's just an operator error

The problem is not everyone thinks it is a flaw. I purposely avoid making troops that target defenses, because it is easy to lose your entire army and get less than 50% with no loot because all they did was go after the buildings that try to kill them. I attack bases for loot. In that way, if I have a hero near a collector or storage I probably want him attacking that collector or storage and I certainly don't want him moving closer to a defense so that instead of being shot by 1 defense while attacking a collector he is being shot by 3 defenses while hitting an archer tower (or worse a wall in front of the archer tower).

Spells definitely take too long. Sadly, this game makes money by making everything take too long and then trying to get you to buy gems to relieve your boredom. Many free to play games have that model, but this game makes a point of being particularly boring so you will be even more tempted. The time will come in the future when people look back and can't believe that anyone was ever willing to play a game with such boring time sinks (like the way they are amazed that people used to wait 10 minutes between attacks in the MMORPG Everquest to get their mana back because it took that long to meditate you refill your mana bar at higher levels so you could fight another creature). Unfortunately, this is phone game and the standards of players are still extraordinarily low so they put up with really poor game design.

The Royals' AI is fine (sort of), there are no bugs! The Royals have no "favorite target". Show me in the unit description that the Queen or King's favorite target are defenses. On that same token barbs and archers don't have a "favorite target". If you can't accept the fact that the King and Queen can (and will!) make dumb decisions...that's on you!

You need to plan and prepare for troop behavior. Save some troops for later in battle, you don't have to dump them all at once. There are many other troops that target defenses. You just haven't learned to use them appropriately. You have Giants and Golems that have to punch through walls to reach the target. Hogs and Balloons that can go over the walls. There are plenty of options. Don't turn a blind eye and act like Supercell is ignoring "bugs" that just aren't there!

It is never acceptable in any game to have a "HERO" sit there and ignore imminent danger and do anything other than try to kill something that is killing them. That is an AI flaw that is on Supercell. You all know this, and the funneling excuse is just that, an excuse for poor AI. I never said to make them stronger, just not stupid.

This game isn't like other games where troops pull aggro off of other things. Troops attack the closest target, whatever that maybe. It's up to you to clear those buildings to get to the defenses. That's why in war, people put high hp storages in front of defenses. Only some troops will go right to a defense, like loons, golems, giants, hounds.

YOU need to direct the troops and use ones that will get the job done. Funneling, clearing etc, that's the whole point of the game.

You guys are nuts. The AI is deliberate and explicit. Click on your king and it clearly indicates that it has no preference to target. Some target specific things like defences (Golems, Giants), some target specific buildings (Hounds), some target walls (Wall Breakers), and some have no preference (Barbarians, Archers, Wizards) etc etc

It's pretty clear that Barbarian King and Archer Queen deliberately and explicitly follow their non royal equivalents. They have no preference. It's not a 'problem', it's how its been designed. Each troop has different and distinct characteristics that make them unique and make game play challenging whilst learning compositions that keep your death dealers protected etc.

Now, I agree it can be frustrating. Just as it is when a wizard takes out a builders hut whilst being nailed by a canon. But ultimately it's not a problem or a bug or a flaw or anything else that Supercell has to do anything about. If it were a more realistic AI they'd pretty much all blooming attack the defences first!!
