Dragons first or Pekkas first?

My dragon is level 2 and my Pekkas are just level 1. Since they cost the same amount of elixer to upgrade I would want to know if i should upgrade dragon or pekka. I wanted to upgrade pekka since drags get useless at mid-late TH8 and i am getting there soon so i dont want to waste elixer and add more 'weight' to my base upgrading drags when i can be better off using gowipe at mid TH8. What do you guys think?

Definitely Dragons as they will be very useful in early stages of TH 8 and even later Mass drags is one of the most prominent TH 8 3 star strategies..

Drags don't get useless until TH9 and are generally a better 3 star strategy on other TH8s than GoWiPe so I would start with the dragons.

I would have done lvl 3 drags early in Th8, however you are correct in that they become less useful the more you develop. Pekkas, golems & hogs are what I would be concentrating on now.

Until Pekkas get useful it takes two levels - they start becoming good at lv3 ;)

Sooooo, for now I'd go with the dragons then you have one less thing to worry about... and it's still a viable tactic at TH8 for demolishing other TH8s.

Drags. As they are quite common CC defense troop for clan wars, having a solid lvl 3 drag and with clan perk upgraded to level 4 can be useful.

PEKKA aint bad but GoWiPe at TH8 is a rare 3-star style and almost useless for a 3-star strategy when you hit TH9.

Dragons

Don't restrict yourself by thinking about "weight", just upgrade things that are useful and that you enjoy using. There is no set pattern to upgrading in this game, would be pretty boring if everybody followed one path

gowipe with pekka lvl 2 and wiz level 5 = 3 stars every war against mid-TH8 ( cause they always have lvl 3 teslas )
i suggest to upgrade the pekka then the wizard!

also , upgrade ur pekka to lvl 3 when u get a chance and dumb all DE on the king.

in my clan , we don't use dragons
we 3 star with gowipe/hog lvl4 , only.

gowipe is a 3 star strategy bro , just know how to use it , also if u able to take a witch ur cc , it's definitely a 3 stars.

also the earthquake is a thing at a TH8

i agree with that as the most effective th8 attaks are hogs and gowipe
