War Log or Clan Level?

This is one thing i am always contemplating about... would you rather have or be in a lower level clan (level 4 and under)and have a good war log (mostly green) or level 5 and above but red stripe dominated war log?

As a co-leader i constantly struggle on my warrior line up because i prefer a good green war log. These days people who look for a clans alway always want a lvl 5 and above clan... but do they see that actually a lot of clans war not necessarily to win but to level up... (of course there are lvl 5+ clans who have really good war logs as well, but i do see a lot that are dominated by red stripes... which ehh..)

what do you think? lower clan level, good war log (green dominated) level OR high clan level but a below average war log?

I would say a green war log and a lower level clan would be better since they would fare better in the long run. They'll eventually level up anyways. On the other hand,a lvl 5 clan with a red war log is probably just a short term solution if you wanna enjoy the perk, but those losing streaks leads to all sorts of problems such as clan conflict, demotivating members, members leaving and worst case scenario, the leaders have a weak spirit and just wanna disband after a lot of losing streaks.

i totally agree! but takes really long to level up too :( i think longterm that green war log means more.. and if people can weather the storm of a level 4 clan it means more!

I think you have to look at more than just war log and clan level to determine whether a clan is right for you. Look at donations, activity in chat and overall personality of the clan. Are there members who are able to teach others? Are there members who are willing to learn? Is it farming based or all out war focused? Casual or competitive. Sometimes you lose wars because you want to put in new members and give them some practice. Try and help them improve. Can't judge a book by it's cover and you can't really judge a clan by it's log and level. At least that's my opinion ;)

From discussion with other clan-mates, some joined us after we beat them it seems like smaller wars are much easier to win because often you find inactive clans. A few members joined us from a clan that had a 18 war win streak but we beat them easily (45x45, we had a perfect war and won by about 30 stars). From what they told us, they mostly feast on 35-40 wars and rarely even do 45 getting a lot of easy wins (and thus winning 18 straight and were lvl 5 at the time... same level as us at that time) but the one time they face a decent war clan, they couldn't even get 2 stars on some of our th9s (didn't 3 star all our th8s either while we had a perfect war). Their leaders supposely was being childest and complaining about a mismatch (when in turn they had more th9 and we had 1 th10 vs 0 so it was actually pretty close but the score was far from close...).

Since then we had members join us from level 6 and 7 clans that had winning records but again a lot of 80/90 vs 10-30 scores where as for us, most of our wars are like 140 - 130 type scores. In our last month, we only had 1 war where the opposing clan has scored less than 100 stars (and it was a level 7 clan too... think they just gave up but they were down to 27 members by the end of the war from 45+, it was a like a 5m queue and as fair as we've seen on paper... 4.5 th10 vs 5 and they had 1 or 2 more th9 than us but for the most part even). In our feeder war (doing 40s), we only seen 1 clan score over 100 star (we won 112-108). Based on a very small sample size, it feels like smaller wars would result in less active clans and thus a better record but also means less clan xp.

As far as which is more important, i would say after you hit level 5 (probably the most important perk), winning is probably more important than xp. The question really is would you rather just win easily or win competitive wars. Honestly i think it was more thrilling tying a mismatch we had (could've won but 1 of our th10 was too tired and got knocked out before atking, since we had less th10s too, it resulted in one of their th10s being unstar'd tho they only 3 star 2 of our 8.5 while we 3 star most of their th9s despite them actually having 4 more th9s on top of more th10s) than winning a blow-out. Whenever we have a close war, its fun seeing everyone login the last 30m and just stare at the war map while chatting up a storm. Its even a race to get into spec during any attack because they fill up in like 5s. Where as in a blow-out, would you even look at the war map until you see an alert showing the war is over?

I think if its a lvl 4 clan with a green log vs lvl 5 clan with a red log, id give the lvl 4 clan the edge.

But if we are talking about a lvl 3 green log vs a lvl 7 clan with alot of losses it might be different. They probably would opt for red log depending on how red it is!

i thnk getting war wins is impt for the members cos of the loot.

we r slowly but surely getting to lvl 5.

hate it when we come up agast a lvl 5 clan, and so we have to beat them ;)

it is all about resources and war loot is good and so a war win is our top priorty but new members dont go to go to war with us. we like farmers too hahaha

War log is always a priority vs just having a large clan that racks xp but loses wars. my guys want to move to larger wars just for xp sake, lol not going to happen. grow slowly

In my clan our wars are rarely bigger then 15v15. it took a bit longer to get to level 6 compared to other clans, but we win more often (comparing to a few bigger clans I've looked at)

Depending of war constantly :) if they war non stop the trip from 1lv to 5lv is a short :)
of course if the wins are regular three months are enough to go up to 5lv
