Low TH Levels in War to Rig System

Probably a half dozen times I've seen clans include an incredibly low TH with no walls and not all of the defenses.

Does anyone know how much this changes the matchup? Each time we've faced a clan that has a low TH it is extremely unbalanced. For instance, this war we have equal number of TH10s, but they probably have 60 levels of heroes on us in a 20 man war, and their walls are by far higher than ours. It took roughly 20 minutes to find this matchup. I know 6 wars isn't enough data to say it works for sure, so I would like to know!

I think we'll beat them anyway. If you are bad enough that you have to do that, you're going to lose to us.

Yeah, this is a common practice with some clans. We have beaten many such clans as the low account is a guarantee 3 star, and they can't attack back and put up useful stars.

No but the low town hall can scout attack the higher bases for a better chance of a real attack being successful.

We have a few legit low level accounts (not minis of higher THs to game war), they are friends or family who have joined the clan. What we've found is they don't help with the match making one bit but they do make the match making much longer to find an enemy clan.

We have another who stops by every once in a while to war with us who is a near max TH 10. We've found the war search also takes a lot longer when he's in the search. I think when there is one outlier TH at the top or bottom of the match it takes the match making algorithem a lot longer to find a similar clan.

false! the defenseless account actually gets 6 stars. it usually has dragons. thats the idea. the last base gets 3 starred anyway in all wars. but this war the clan weighs less and the last guy can get 3 stars.

he said "low TH" not a TH9 with TH 6 defenses.

I assumed he was taking about a TH 4, 5, or 6.

i urge my clan to use 1 account that has no defense and max troop. i think it gives a great advantage. but they will not do it

im talking about a defenseless account. that anchor tactic usually has it have decent offense. i havent seen many people leave bad low th bases. but i can see how he may have been talking about that.

My clan sometimes brings along some low THs. These are accounts from people who started clash with us, but quit for some reason. We use them when we don't have an even multiple of 5 for war. Bringing 2-3 TH5 or 6 accounts to get to 15v15 is better than leaving in TH8-9 that won't be able to attack during war.

We could bench some people instead, but then we have people wanting to war having to sit out, and lose out on base xp that can be earned in larger wars.

The defenseless accounts on the bottom is definitely more common than using "Anchor accounts" that actually have something upgraded to pack a punch - mostly because those accounts almost always require gems and most of us aren't rich ha. regardless, you need more than one or two of them to affect your matchup at all, even in small wars. in large wars, we're talking like 10+ of those cruddy little bases to affect your war matchup. so It's definitely an investment in war strategy.

I personally think it's a good idea, but we won't allow anyone in our clan with less than 'nearly' maxxed troops anymore. Once you get a taste of getting nothing but good troops, you tend to want to keep the little accounts out of your clan so you don't start going backwards. Just preference i guess.
