Do yourself a huge favor and get your hogs to 4 before you king to 6. With a level 10 king, you still don't have any good three star strategies on TH8s, but a level 5 king and level 4 hogs can roflstomp most TH8s.

Might be a little outdated on early TH8, but my little better than halfway through TH8 account is at 1244 with about 47k DE and 5.7 million elixir. I've been hit twice in the last week for any significant DE loss (once for 1800 and another for 700, I think). Mostly losing no more than 150k elixir and little gold since I don't keep over 500k right now. Not raiding with it unless I have 2 hours to boost, but it's been a wizard factory frequently for the rest of the clan in the last 2 weeks or so. I do have upgraded mortars/WTs and a skull core, though, which might deter barchers a little bit.Quote:

Get poor, u don't have to worry any more.
The best defense method is:
1- push to high leagues. as high as you can farm in that league. crystal 3 is minimum. those who said drop to silver and put th outside should know that none snipe a th in silver. th snipe is just worth the bonus in high leagues.
2- th out side in high leagues.
3- farm in sessions. break shield only when you have 1 hour free time to play in minimum.
My experience:
when i was th6 i push to m3 for gems. none raid me. they just snipe me because of loot penalty/
when i was th7 i was in m2 and again many players just snipe me.
