i got 30 spaces, was thinking 2x witches, 1 bloon. whatcha guys think? or 1 golem or 4 valks
lavahound, never do small troops as they are killed by poison
or a golem is good too
u ever think about a lava hound... targets ground and air.. high HP so takes longer to destroy and when destroyed it breaks into pups... i think its pretty effective but has its pros and cons like every other troop
Lava Hound lags the wizards and AQ behind. The golems and pekkas are already softened before the wizards and AQ could get into the core.
Lava for sure it's all about confusion and slowing down the wizs. Longer there shoting the lava the longer ur defense is shoting there golems b4 wizs knocks them out
Surprised no one suggested this... You want loons in your CC- 4-5 of them, and a distraction troop for them to properly reach the golem/s before getting targeted. You want the troops to vary with high HP and speeds.
With four loons, the remainding 10 space can be filled with:
- 1 valk, 1 barb and 1 goblin
- 2 Giants
- 1 Giant, 1 wizard and 1 goblin
With five loons, the remainding 10 space can be filled with:
- 1 Giant
- 1 wizard and 1 goblin
- 1 barb, 1 archer, 1 goblin and 1 minion
You either want a lava hound or a dragon and two balloons. No other options. Don't use ground troops because you don't want the Barbarian King and the P.E.K.K.A to be able to attack it. You solely want to distract the Archer Queen and the Wizards while balloons drop bombs on the heavier tank units like golems or the lava hound shoots at them.
Balloons are more effective in killing golems and pekkas due to the splash damage, however lava hounds give your defences a huge advantage as the pekka and golems won't be backed up by all of the wizards and the archer queen.
It's your choice and it depends on your clan's availability. Just don't ever use small ground units like witches and wizards.
Witch definitely... as many of them as you can.
Gowipe is a pushing strat.
If you're being three starred by it is because:
1. Your defenses are outdated
2. Your base is too symetrical
Just make an unsymetrical base and enjoy the Queen/Wizzards going alone to one side and being smashed.
Anyway, I use 3 Valkyries and 6 Globs because:
1. My Queen is centralized defending the ADs
2. Ground troops arent lurable by Balloons
3. Valks smashes any attempt to kill my Queen
Max Drag with Two Loons
Been using dragon and 3 loons. The loons are hit and miss - sometimes they work, sometimes they do nothing. If their golems and/or pekkas press ahead of the bunch, balloons can do some serious damage before the rest of the wiz catch up.
There are only 2 options
1.) Lavahound and baloon: Slows down the enemy attack. The golems and pekkas move in while the wizards stay behind. This can be really nasty, on the first attack. On a cleanup attack it is not such a big problem if you lure the cc. Also the hound does not damage, so you can safely go heavy on your pekkas and valks because you dont have to carry so much ranged troops.
2.) Dragon + valks/loon/wizard mix: The valk is great if the attacker try go get rid of the cc with a few witches and it does quite a lot of damage but is still tanky. Loons are very effective against golems and pekkas and do quite some damage if the wizards cant follow up behind. The dragon is needed because otherwise the attacker would simply use his poison, drag the rest to the corner and kill it with some minions. Mixing in 1 or 2 wizards can be nice because using poison on 1 wizard is not worth it and they still can do quite some damage as long as it is not more than 1 or 2.
Every combination has to include either a lavahound or a dragon, because these are the only 2 ranged units in the game that survive poison. If you dont have them in the cc, the attacker can simply drop his poison, drag the rest to the corner and kill it with some minions.
Dont use golems in the cc. They dont have much more hp than lavahounds and you dont get pups out of it. The pups alone act like a cc full of lvl1 minions, but more spread out so you can fight them with splash damage or poison.
15 max wallbreakers. Works every time. :smirk:
Just kidding. See following scenarios:
- If your CC is lurable and / or enemy attackers tend to lure out your CC and kill troops inside before initiating the main GoWiPe attack: use 3 max valkaries, 1 max wiz, and either 1 minion or 2 of archers / barbarians / goblins. This is designed to do as much damage to the enemy kill squad as possible. Weak to poison + minions or to witches and wizard support. You can change 2 valks and a wiz to a max dragon if you want.
- If your CC is unlurable and / or enemy attackers tend to directly start the GoWiPe attack without luring your CC: use either a max lava hound or 1 max dragon plus 2 max balloons. These compositions mess around with people's plans by either distracting the supporting wizards and Queen and / or greatly damaging the ground troops that are in front (Golems, King, PEKKAs).
