Don't put your town hall in a corner by itself. Place it close to your outer walls, so it's visible right away. I was rarely sniped when my th was in a corner, now that's next to my walls I'm sniped almost every time.
Put TH out is the best advise. Your best hope is a TH snipe by high champs/titans, where the total trophy offer is one only. So, there is no further incentive for them to go beyond 1 star.
Putting your TH in the corner is the worst idea ever, you get sniped for -17 every single time. Keep TH inside and you get 3-starred by Titans for -1.

ive seen a few th8s in champs/titans win a defense for zero trophies. that matchmaking update made things weird for snipers.
Only if you have a troll base and there is a th7 desperate for cups and goes for it and fails And don't put your th in the corner , they all say it but if anyone finds you they are gonna go for a full attack as they don't worry about loosing and they barely find th8
