Dragons...

Hi,

I'm Coomberlane and I'm in a level 6 clan, made of mainly th7s and 8s with a few 9s and 10s in war. We war every often, and our th7s (and occasionally th8s) use mass dragon attacks frequently to 3 star, whilst our opponents also do the same. These attacks, especially at th7, require very little skill - the th7 formula is just to lightning one air defence and spawn the dragons near to the other, and this makes war at th7 monotonous and boring.

My request is to nerf slightly the hp and/or dps of lvl 1-2 dragons so that mass drags, whilst still a 3 star attack, require at least some skill to effectively pull off, for example funneling, and make wars at this level more interesting and skilful.

IMO, no. Drags cost a lot of elixir and if you pay for them you should get what you paid for.

Agreed. Also higher TH levels can finally incorporate dragons in their army compositions with the new level 5 dragons, before this dragons where utterly useless after TH8. No need to nerf them.

Cost doesn't justify shallow and over simplified gameplay. For that matter gowipe costs a lot more but still takes a bit of strategy.

I know but lots of troops cost a lot, it doesn't mean that by spawning them in a line is a guaranteed 3 star on 99.9% of bases. They should at least require some thought.

Easy solution: kick out all th7's from clan or don't put them in war.

That's not a solution

People complain about this all the time saying it's uneven and not fair because it requires no skill. It may not require a lot of skill but there are some people who do not get a 3 star on the mass dragon attack on TH 7. And it is completely balanced since everyone can do it. Just up your TH and you'll do better. Or maybe just up all your defenses. Even though it is possible, it does get significantly harder to mass dragon 3 star a maxed TH 7 set up correctly.

What if you were able to upgrade air defenses to another level at TH7? That would make your opponent have to use more skill but wouldn't nerf dragons at higher Town Hall levels.

So you want to give a level 6 AD to th 7? Problem is that currently 3 Lightning spells are able to destroy an ad. With max level Lightning in a th 7 that AD is still going to be destroyed by 3 lighting spells. So, this does not fix the problem that the main idea is to Lightning an ad and steamroll the base with drags. It is just a fact that needs to be overlooked. Only way to fix that is to either lower the damage of lighting, making it even less useful then the last update made it, or raise the hp,of ads again. Meaning again it will take longer to destroy bases which the last update already did.

A lot of the th7 bases in war do not cover the loot that mass drag needs to cook, alone using spells. Most th7 when defeated only net about 120 to 150 k. Dragons cost quite a lot, let alone the cost of spells added. It is not cost effective to take drags as a th 7. Yet it is a regular practice.
