Good for two stars, worthless for three starring decent bases. Splash defenses are not "worthless", it's a huge jump to max wizard towers at TH8 and if you space them properly you can make the timing with their heals/giant bombs a nightmare. Considering that most TH8s haven't figured out that 39 is a much better number of hogs than 30, the WT killing a couple more hogs can end their raid early.

What?

What is your TH8 hog attack army composition that includes 39 hogs? Sounds like it leaves very little margin for error/troop stupidity in taking out max CC dragons or similar.

Well I speak for my personal experience ^^

In usual war my mortars shot around zero bulletts. WTs are also kinda useless against drags.
I got gowiped last war by the average mirror gowipe clan, luckily TH8s can't exactly gowipe. All pekkas merry go round taking out mines and collectors like madmen

It's a few ages ago my clan faced any TH8 who could use hogs at all XD our current opponents nobody has hogs over level 2

and gowipe can be a 3 star attack if done on certain bases XD we had one 3 star quad-quake gowipe attack this time (lv1 golems lv2 pekkas)

When I did to TH 8 I firstly get P.E.K.K.As and upgraded my laboratory. When my laboratory upgrade finished I did Archers (for farming), Barbarians ( also for farming and King's ability) etc.

Are you saying that you think he should do that? He didn't ask for you to simply tell him what he did, he asked what he should do.

You cannot upgrade pekka in the lab until you have already upgraded the lab, and upgraded one of your barracks to unlock her.

I meaned when I did TH 8 i upgraded barracks for P.E.K.K.As.
And I said what I did. He doesn't need to do exactly like me.

Do Hogs early. They take forever and are the best war troops for TH8.
