I'm one of the people rushing to TH9. But I'm wondering:
Should I start my TH upgrade NOW (Enough time for lvls 9 and 10 BK, but what if I got busy and missed a few days, I would be a lvl 8/9 BK TH9)?
Or wait till BK is 10 THEN upgrade (Risk free, gives time to upgrade one or 2 more troops, instead of 2 lvl 6 mortars at TH9 I'd have 4)?

I'm near maxed defense TH8, I'm starting the upgrade once my last wizard towers are upgrading.
make sure the BK is 10, it's very important, I maxed mine within a month of being TH8.
i got town hall 9 with a level 1 king, and i caught up really quickly

Just go now. No point waiting anyway. But it's highly unlikely you'll get your BK to level 10 by the time the TH upgrade has finished. Because you should have a BK 10 in the first 2-3 weeks of TH8 if you're good at farming. If not, you end up with a level 7 or 8 BK like you. You will never farm both levels unless you actually try really hard, but you won't even need to once you get the level 6 drills at TH9.
You'll just never know the benefit of having a BK10 at TH8.
