You know that earhquake level 1 only damaging 24% to walls, but 4 spells of level 1 could destroy walls, which is 4 spells of level 1 have 96% total damage into walls.
If we calculate, total damage of 3 earthquake spells would be 96% too. So if 96% total damage of 4 earthquake spells could destroy walls, why 96% total damage of 3 earthquake spells couldn't destroy walls?
This is EXACTLY my thoughts as well. Any further discussion or guidance regarding this? Does three level 2 earthquake spells destroy any wall? What about level 3 earthquake spells? I can't seem to get the math to work or understand it.
The Earthquake spell depleted % damage of the REMAINING HP of the building , therefore 4 of them can destroy a wall regardless of level of wall or spell.
Also any building within 12.5% HP instantly collapses !
It's really odd ! There seems to be no point in upgrading it !
i agree, i've had similar issues of a similar strain.. my issue is that 4x lv1 earthquake spells can take out my lv10 walls and yet an opponent in war with rushed walls- i still need 4x (maxed) earthquake spells to destroy his walls?? it's just not consistent, and imho needs tuning in a future update
Yea, the math doesn't make sense honestly and I think the game is just awarding the fact that if anyone wants to use 4 space worth of spells, they can take out any wall because the math doesn't work.Quote:

Agreed, it makes upgrading EQ spells totally worthless because you will always have to use 4..
I support this other wise no need of upgrading it.
I think the point of upgrading it is mainly just to get it to deal more % damage to the other non wall buildings within its vicinity so it can destroy anything thats at 25% or less of its max life..... the 4 earthquakes destroying any wall is fine imo because thats only one function of the spell; a kind of default use that doesn't change.
What changes is how much of a building it can destroy on its own.... you could wreck a base to like 80 something % destroyed, but get to the center of a base and almost get the townhall and infernos.... but they're still standing after all your main attack forces are down.... seems like only a one star attack now... BUT WAIT..... EARTHQUAKE!!! And boom the middle is down, there's your 3 star because the 5 archers you had left can clean up those last few collectors or whatever it is thats left
Not a common situation but I think thats the intended use of upgrading it
If an edit were to be made though, vs walls since thats its favorite target.... the math should be a reflection of that...
Since walls are the favorite it should do double % meaning a max earthquake (25%) would do 50% and 2 of them could bring down any wall, thats how I'd set it up
Lvl.1 (14%) would do 28% so it still takes 4 at lvl.1
Lvl 2 (17%) would do 34% so itd take 3 at lvl 2
Lvl.3 (21%) would do 42% and would still take 3 spells at lvl 3
Lvl 4 (25%) does 50% so its 2 spells
Would be a cool way to do it, but then again sounds a little op if 2 of them bring down any walls dont ya think?? even max walls.... and since it does have a 4 tile radius.... you could take out alot of walls that way
Just earthquake the eff out of one side of a base; pekka rush and wham... 3 star lol.

Actually in the above mentioned scenario itd be more likely that you drop the earthquake while ur forces are still alive, maybe followed by a lightning on the inferno or xbow or whatever it is that you are trying to bring down in the center
Totally agree. Unless it's tweaked there is little point upgrading earthquake spell. Needs refinement.
