It's both. I just checked. I need 11 more friends to add another slot. I purposefully disconnected FACEBOOK and my requirement went back up to 22. I connected to FACEBOOK again and went back down to 11. Although I am at 500 max on GC. So apparently I have 11 FB friends that plays this game.
thats kinda confusing! what does both mean? i dont have any facebook friends but i did add a couple of GC friends yest and i suddenly noticed i got an additional slot.Quote:

It should not be confusing as it uses both GC and Facebook. Now you can have up to 500 friends on GC so eventually you can't add more and you'd probably have to spend diamonds to add additional slots or add by using FB.
