I'm townhall 10
here are my recent farming battle
i get around 1.5k-2k in like 2 hours and 30 minutes but it really doesn't feel like that much time has gone by it takes 25 min to complete my troops and I do other things
im a premature townhall level 10 cause I didn't know any better until recently :(
i can't really tell the difference back when I farmed when I was th 9
but I remember th 8 was the best for me

Yes, if the same crappy player does the exact same thing vs the exact same target at two different th levels, they will earn more at the lower th.

Theoretically and reality (albeit virtual) are very different things..

Talking about the practicalities of TH9 Farming ... I can make in excess of 10million most days... This predominantly comes from TH8s & 9s.. With the occassional super loaded TH7..

I generally farm around 1300-1600 range

However (im not TH10 yet 36hrs before that happens)
For a TH10 player it seems there are certain factors that need to be placed into the equation...
1. Extra Skip cost
2. Extra skips because of the loot penalty
These two things mean that the TH10 Farmer, in order to maintain a sense of progress needs to increase his Trophy count..

Doing that has the following impact..
1. Tougher bases, more experienced players (de farming)
2. A reduction of the TH8 bases.
3. Increased TH9 and 10s
Therefore the chances of losing out on resources when attacking is also dramatically increased due to the stronger bases you will be attempting to loot.

Also i suspect that the higher you go the more chance you have of bumping into trophy hunters, spells and therefore increased chance of losing resource on Defence.

I cannot see how it is possible for me to make 10mill a day at TH10.. I personally think i will be lucky to break 3/4 mill..

Im not looking forward to the move to TH10 at all, however the only thing left for me at TH9 is walls to lv 10..

I hope im wrong in my assumptions and i can still make progress...

I am referring to the OP question. He is not asking whether a crappy TH9 will out farm a proTH10, he is asking what is the better farming TH. As I have already stated, it is mathematically impossible for TH10 to be more profitable then a TH9. When you are comparing the two, you are comparing the same player.

Tnx guys for some really helpful information so far. I didnt want to give any details on our discussion because I thought it might influence the outcome ofall your feedback in this thread but I will try to give some more details.

We have an elder that keeps promoting upgrading to TH10 because he says the loot is as good as TH9 or maybe even better. This against the fact we try to motivate all our members to max their TH as much as possible before going up. Don't get me wrong we are just advising, everybody decides for him/herself in the end when to upgrade.

We calculated my Gold farming back to 1.5m per hour. Which makes it about 7.5m per 5 hours (TH9). Now he claims, to be able to farm 8m gold in the same time span. Which in all honesty I don't believe. Not saying he is lying but he might got a bit to romantic about TH10 farming.

He can't/doesn't want to support those claims with any supporting prove with screenshots from his attacking log. Fair enough as he is not farming at the moment.

Believe me, if 8m gold in 5 hours is very doable as a TH10 I am going up guys lol. Just don't see that happen.
