I know right. Yes, the phone screen is small, but it allows me to have better control. Tablet would just be good for maybe finger space and seeing a base more closely.

Clash runs great on iPad Minis. No need to spend the big bucks to get an Air. I have never seen even the tiniest spike of lag on my Mini 2.
..any iPad currently in sale is fine.
I am using a first generation iPad Mini and have no problems at all.

Any decent mid range price and sometimes low end android tablets can handle coc imo. You may want its battery life to be good as you may not want to always reach for a charger everytime you play coc for just 10mins...but I do not know about the caveats of owning an iphone and android tablet or vice versa..
Buying an ipad just to play coc would be an overkill...just like brining a full TH10 gowipe army to attack a TH4 at war...d
Buy the latest iPad you can afford, the newer the better. In my experience if you have used an ios device anything else just doesn't cut it and will annoy you. I use an iPad Air which is great for clashing, email, web, plus a great range of other apps. I say get the newest you can because it will last longer and be supported by apple for longer. If you wait a few months the new ipad is due out and the Air 2 will drop in price.
Im using ipad mini...big screen and not so heavy like ipad air or other 10" tab..
Play on your iphone and use that cash to buy gems 😁
Ipad air and Ipad mini are both good. Personally, theres nothing wrong with playing clash on the mini, but sometimes the air gets too big to play with unless your gonna put it down. After a while it starts to hurt on the wrist, especially if your getting the Air 1. If your gonna play for long periods of time, get the mini.
