Hi all, so I'm looking for a decent tablet to use for clash, so far I only use my iPhone, which seems to work well but is a bit small. I'm pretty set on getting an iPad but there are so many models. I'm not going to be getting the most up to date one, I'm not made of money. Will a 1st gen iPad Air do the job? Can I go cheap and get an older version that still does what I need it to? Any advise will be most welcome. Thanks.

Of course iPad Air is amazing and will definitely do the job especially in serious attacks.
For long Clash sessions, the best is 8 inches screen like iPad mini 1,2 or 3 because you can hold it with both of your hand and the thumbs can meet if you put each hand on a side of the iPad.
At the moment I'm using an iPhone 6. I'm not concerned about memory, the only thing I need it for us clash. I would like a full size as opposed to a mini but it might be that a mini is fine I'm not sure, my experience so for is limited to my phone but I feel like the size of the screen is holding me back in certain attack strategy like lava loon, where you need a good spread on deployment but at the moment I either zoom out so I can't see where I'm dropping them or zoom in and deploy them slowly while constantly adjusting my viewpoint.Quote:

i definitely rate the ipad mini, for me it's the perfect size for warring... you can cover the whole screen with your thumbs while holding it up - bigger tablets kinda need to be resting on something to be played. i find anything bigger than the 8ish inch size is too big... but if you like bigger, go for it.
only other thought is that if you're playing multiple accounts, android is HEAPS better for switching between accounts. once you've got the accounts setup in Google Play, you just connect/disconnect ingame through the settings menu. on an iDevice you have to exit the game, go to Game Center, log out, log in (including password), then go back to the game.... takes a lot longer. no big deal unless you're wanting to quickly switch between accounts...

If you're only looking to clash, an iPad probably isn't your best bet. I'm using my iPad now, but I use it for work also. If you want to shell out a lot for an iPad only for clash, I'd say buy a cheaper android tablet and save the extra money. Just my opinion though.
android tablets are laggy, most phones too, clash is smoother on iosQuote:
