Hi,
I just came across a post about golden hour but I don't think it really increases the loot. Can anyone explain its benefits to me.

Supposedly after maintenance breaks lots of dead bases are found
Myth or not, you can ride the hype :smirk:
As a high level titan it was great for 10 minutes. Found two bases back to back, no wait time, with 20+ trophies. Next search back to 25 minute waits for 1 cup offers. :::cry cry:::
I started raiding last night immediately after the maintenance break and I am now a believer in the golden hour. I was finding a large increase in dead bases with 700k+ combined. One base I got just shy of 7k DE!! I was so pumped!
I have noticed crazy loot time frames after actual updates rather than maintenance. My theory (and I know plenty don't agree with me) is that when new updates come out and the servers kick everyone off all the people using those stupid apps that keep them logged on 24/7 get kicked off as well. The apps can auto re-connect but they can't auto install a new update so all those people and their full storages and collectors are exposed until a human manually installs the new update. That is why I think you should make sure not to shield mega loot bases during golden hour. Let them get hit again and again. They deserve it.
In actives get put back into the matchmaking que after an update. I recently saw this after the latest update as one of my Co's has been MIA for some time and I noticed a huge fluctuations in his trophy count as he got hit again and again. He clearly won many defences as at one point he gained over 100 cups!
Of courselves he may have just logged in for a brief spell but I suspect he would have at least said hello in chat or emptied his collectors
Another thing to remember here- some players have somewhat of a schedule when they empty their collectors. Maybe its when you wake up, before you take a shower, or before you get in the car or whatever. Maybe they are coming off a shield during their lunch break. If there is a maintenance break- it might throw a curve in this. Once play resumes and you're driving down the road- somebody is looting your base.
Well for me, right after the update, till about 90 minutes later my loot was insane. I would only have to search 2-3 times before finding 600k+ total loot. Then all of a sudden it dropped off and i had to go back to searching for 20-25 minutes per raid.
