Am I Crazy (Long Term TH10 Base Strategy)

So I'm a lightly/moderately rushed TH10. Quick summary where I'm at:
13 BK
25 AQ
85 Skulls - Rest Legos
Max Army Camps/CC/Spells Factories/Etc
Max Teslas
Most things are MAX TH9 level except a few cannons and archer towers
2 level 1 xbows (Still have one i can build) - These are low/missing to help even out war weight since I am rushed
Max Infernos

I'm thinking of bringing the cannons and archer towers to max TH9 level and parking for a bit on defenses while I work on walls/heroes/research. I've been really weird about keeping all my builders busy until this point until i get to the point i can 3-star TH10s instead of just 2 starring in war.

Thoughts?

Is it a big deal to rest most if not all my builders for a few months to work on walls and heroes at this point? Or should I press on working on defenses and still make slow progress on the walls?

if you really want to do it, you should have delayed your Inferno instead. It is the biggest one for war

I would at least try to get both heroes to 25, walls to lvl 9 and war troops maxed before you start back in on defenses. Don't want your base to be one that you wouldn't stand a chance 3 against yourself.

I thought about that, but the infernos have saved me a ton of loot from not being attacked and stopping lots of attacks. I can 2-star anyone in our clan wars consistently with a gowipe or similar, but I need some time to max lava hounds, freeze, and upgrade the heroes before I can 3-star.

Agreed though about infernos, but ultimately I couldn't help myself.

I might be able to 3-star myself, but war match-ups aren't exact and when they are somewhat more powerful than me I can't consistently get it done.

Lvl 25 heroes sounds like a pretty reasonable point to start back on the defenses. Need to get my king back to sleep...

I sat max th9 for months with builders sleeping, wall was done too I just worked on Heroes. Nothing wrong with sleeping builders to level wall and heroes, if you are serious about war you need heavy heroes

I'm little confused (though to be honest the holding back development part for war still evades me), what level are your troops and spells? What are you getting matched up with right now? If it's not a th9 or really rushed th10, why would you want to try and get yo the point where you can 3 star th10's? I don't know about anyone else, but 3 starring a th10 normally means getting a poor war base design or a rushed th10. As you slowly upgrade anything the chances of getting that are going to continue to get smaller and smaller. I'm not sure that's a good goal to focus on. I'd be getting some defences up so you don't get 3 starred.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was SERIOUS farmer, but as I look towards end game, I see that war will be my main focus. I'm leaning towards working on walls and heroes only.

Is max TH9 a good level for everything? Or are there some items worth maxing (air defenses, wizard towers, mortarts)?

I haven't been 3-starred in war in a long time (even 2-stars are rare for some reason). Our clan really tries to 3-star as much as possible in war (Basically all but one of the TH9s and any rushed TH10s with less than max infernos usually).

3-starring TH10s is totally possible and I think an achievable goal. if I let my troops catch up a little.

The stuff in the lab i want to work on if i take a break working on defenses is:
Max wizards (lvl 5 currently)
Max lava hounds (lvl 2 currently)
Max freeze (lvl 2 currently)
Max jump (lvl 2 currently)
Max rage (lvl 4 currently)
Max Minion (lvl 5 currently)

You will definitely want to max freeze, rage and wizards. That will really help you in attack. Though your heros are still pretty low and will also need some serious focus.

3 starring th10's is a great goal, just in seeing hundred and hundreds of th10 war attacks (granted many where maxed or near maxed th10's) I saw very very few 3 stars. Even fewer if you exclude the attacks with maxed heros. But it's always good to shoot for the stars.
