100 gems is too cheap, maybe for a second name change could do the job but for a third, it should cost double (200). For a fourth again double(400), and so on. Maybe stop at 5th attempt with 800 gems.

I only agree if name changes start at 2500 gems and progressively gets higher as you use it. So the next costs 5000, 7500, 10000....
The point isn't to make money, but to allow the option for name changes but not making it so readily available that it becomes a tool to troll clans or people in Global. 100 is a joke, everyone would be able to change their names once every other weak from just obstacles and gem boxes. That's if they're a completely free 2 play user! If you even spend just a few bucks every month, you'd be able to troll nearly every day at that price.
No, it needs to be expensive enough where a F2P player has the option to either get 5th builder or another name change. Other than that, you have to spend money to get the name change. This makes it so you must absolutely want the name change for yourself not just to mess with others.

I don't think it should cost gems at all. If Supercell would just listen to us and allow clans to permaban by their unique id then it wouldn't be a problem. I for one would like to name change every once and awhile to keep things fresh and I've been in the same clan since I started coc.
i completely agree with Axion, changing names shouldn't be a free feature or come very cheap. I think all reasonable clanleaders want to keep some players out, and close to free namechanges will make it almost impossible to keep players (with a history) out of their clans. I would like to use another namechange and i'm willing to pay for it, i'm thinking 2000 gems will do the trick.
