Why Titan Needs Fixed, With Ideas! Not just Rant.
It's no secret that high level gameplay has its flaws, but how do we fix it? As I've been sitting here, staring at clouds for going on 2 hours, i've put a fair amount of thought into it, and have come out with a few ideas. The first one is what I think would be a temporary fix, that is simply limiting the max cups to be offered per base, now tis may seem counterintuitive, as you'd think this would be something even worse for the attackers,however I disagree. Anyone above 4200 knows the feeling of logging off and knowing that theres a decent possibility ill log back on with a -30 2 star. DO to those many players attack in "sessions" basically attack until your kicked off, by limiting the max cups you cab loose,people may be more inclined to log off more often knowing that if someone 2 stars it will be a max of 20 cups or so lost. Along with decreasing the max cups, I believe increasing the min cups would help too. No one in there right mind attacks 1 cup bases, just no, so why not make it so the minimum available is lets say 8, this means it may take slightly longer to find a base, however the bases you do find would be quality enough not to skip.
Another possibility that would most likely be a more permanent fix would be to add trophies to wins above 4k cups, (like what is currently being done below 200 trophies I believe. What I mean by this, is I could attack a base for 21 cups, 2 star and take 14 while since the defender is way lower then me, he only takes a -8. Supercell may be reluctant t o do this, but something needs to change, they are going to loose there top level players if the game keeps trending the way it does. The fact is to be a top 100 player you need to be playing 12-18 hours a day, if you have a source of income and a family this is simply not possible. Thus forcing these players to share accounts and attack in shifts, giving them an unfair advantage, and a nightmare for supercell with GC passwords going around.
Many people have proposed a trophy system based off "elo" or base level (the same system clan wars matching uses) however this is in my opinion an awful idea for a few reasons. First of all supercell would never ever do this, has you are punishing people for progressing in the game. Second of all, you can be a town hall 2 and TH snipe your way all the way up, because whoever attacks you is only going to have 1 cup offered ever. Not only that, but defense level has almost nothing to do with higher level gameplay at the moment, the difference between a fully maxed out base, and a base with level 11-12 cannons and arch towers and all other defenses maxed or close to maxed with decent walls, is still going to prevent a 3 star in most cases, both bases can be 2 stared so the difference is mute in most cases, because of this defense doesn't have a big enough impact on the game which is one this proposed system is all about.
I don't want it to be easy to reach 4500 trophies, but I want it to be possible for anyone. It wouldn't take as much as many say to balance high level gameplay, all it takes is a commitment from the supercell staff to set there mind o doing not only whats best for there wallet, but best for the longterm health of the game.
