Just tell them you got food poisoning. The rest is up to them on how to make sense out of it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that :)
And yes, it isn't just the sounds from such times, but also I quite often have it sitting on my desk with the game on, and the rather random but also rather unmistakable sounds would not exactly give off a professional image.
I listen to music when I attack so yeah, I dont have the sound on.
I remember playing with the sound on when I first got the game. It was cool at first, because I'd never heard it. But then it got repetitive and when attacking it just puts me off hearing all the archers shooting and all the barbarians shouting. Haven't turned it on for atleast a year lol
Hard to check on needed donations or war update if the sounds on and you're supposed to be doing something else! :)
