TOO MANY Map pieces in DD(paper)

So I completely understand having lots of wheat in DD, but ever since I opened my town, my paper is full of map pieces! (which is great for the first hour I opened town lol) I just dont understand why there are so many map pieces, but not much of other town items (bricks, drills, HAMMERS, etc) Is the ratio that we earn map pieces out of sorts? It takes the excitement out of searching the DD.

There are hand drills in at least every paper but unlike the map pieces not as often, you just have to be patient to find what your looking for

It's a hard one for SC to solve. For a while, my DD was full of cloche hats and tofu dogs but they fine-tuned the demand in trucks, boats and town and it's not so bad now. Other than opening up new town land, or reducing the frequency of their production, there's not a lot they can do with maps to alter the demand. If they don't though, it can only get worse!!

I would like to see a change to the way the DD is generated so that it would never give you more than, say, 10 of the same product

When I first started playing hayday all there was in the DD was bacon and eggs

Yes I remember it well. But now there are a lot of new demands for both bacon and eggs - I often have to buy eggs, wool, etc from the DD now, which I never would have dreamed of then...

With visitors event going on today i saw lots of tofu dogs in dd

Folks, there is nothing wrong with drop rates or anything else. The reason you now see more map pieces is because people have fully expanded their town land, and don't need them any more. So they sell them. The reason you don't see as much other items is because people will use them to expand their buildings. The items are "usually" used on 3 buildings. The drills are B&B, Beach Cafe, and Train Station. The train station is kinda quick to upgrade, and there is a lot of time between the upgrades of the other 2 buildings you can usually get more than you need.
What S S "could" do is install a floating drop rate on maps....say if you have town land to unlock you get x% drop rate on maps, but if you are fully expanded, that drop rate would drop to less.....You'd still have some to sell in DD but would not be as much.

Better still, get SC to allow visitors to request them and they would disappear fast in this event!

I have not even come close to finish expanding my town, but I accumulate so many maps that I have to sell them. Problem with that is, there is such a flood of maps in DD that they do not sell. At one time I tried posting single maps in my entire stand, which stayed there for a couple days lol. I just feel Supercell could adjust this somehow. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR REPLIES :-D
