Hi SuperCell,
I'm Lord Remoc of Freddies Place, we are always at war and sometimes with still a couple of hours left we know we won or lost. Sometimes we know we lost we think OK lets quite this war, or we know we won this one land think lets gem the time so we can start a new war.
Our idea is very simple, a We declare VICTORY and a We surrender, button. Off course the other clan has to accept this and after accepting no attacks can be made anymore. And both clans can start a new war instantly.
A forfeit or end war option wouldn't be fair for the winning clan, neither for some members of the losing team.
For once, what if I am part of the winning team but I didn't use 1 or any of my attacks in war? Would it be fair if the losing team could end the battle while I didn't have a chance to do my attacks and take my war bonus? If you are the losing team, I think you should just face it and accept the situation, not run away. We are only talking about 24h of war time, it's not that much to wait.
Second, even if you are in the losing team, you are part of that war and you should take advantage of it. How? Well, you could practice attacks on tougher bases or even let the war go just so the winning team shows more impressive attacks from which you can learn. Any failure is a win, so learn from the mistakes done in that war and take the war time to analyse them.
People go in the war knowing they have a 24h period to do their attacks, so nobody can force them to do their attacks in the first 20. If they decide to leave their attacks for the last second even if the war is already lost/won, it is entirely up to them and they should have that privilege.
Also, since the clan perks update, I doubt SC intends to let us finish war any faster than we normally do.
I see what you are saying, but....
SC has given us an option to forfeit attacks when ever we want, for all reasons you can think of you can forfeit with a loss or a win an attack at the moment. So why should a clan not be given the option to stop the war? My clan is sometimes finished with attacking 5 hours before deadline.
and yes some guys, in the past, waited untill the end, but thats the risk they take then. Like for example, there are also guys that wait untill the end to just take loot and where they didn't intend to help the clan with stars. You elliminate this with the We declare VICTORY button.
and last but not least the other clan has to accept it, and they know that when they accept they can't attack anymore, so yeah unfair? I don't know.
but well it's just a suggestion and maybe it needs a little polishing to shine, but we from Freddies Place would love to have this option.
What if they have been busy in real life and can only attack at the end. I wish it could ork to but I would rather not having 1 person maybe ruing 20 other peoples attacks.Quote:

Like for example,
Your Clan has used up all attacks and only won 58/60 stars. The opposing Clan hasn't used up all attacks and has won 55/60 stars. If you end the War now by simply tapping on the "We declare VICTORY!" button, those in the opposing Clan that haven't used up all of their attacks will be mad that their War ended in Defeat. Letting the 24-hour War time limit do the ending work can give chance for those who haven't finished attacking yet. Who knows, maybe the opposing Clan manages to use all their attacks but only win 57/60 stars, leading to your Clan's Victory, or 58/60 stars, leading to a Draw, or even 60/60 stars, leading to their Clan's Victory.
If you look closely, the OP said "of course the other clan has to accept this". It's probably the first time the proposal has included a "victory" button in recognition that the only way it really works is if BOTH clans agree to end the war early.
Personally, if it's done, I think it should just be a "Surrender" button, and an "Accept Surrender" button that would appear if the other clan surrenders. As long as the coleaders in a clan are trustworthy, there shouldn't be many people surrendering before the end if they still have a shot at winning. And as far as waiting until the end to loot, leaders from the clan being surrendered to clan decide whether or not to prolong the war and allow those people to attack, but personally I have no sympathy for anyone who waits until the last minute unless that is what the leaders have asked.
The main reason I don't think we'll see it though is because it would enable clans to level up and get more loot bonuses faster than they already are.
