Check out my guide below for information on how to climb up quickly
I climbed up for DE and in the 1500-2000 range for TH 7's you will consistently find 2000+ DE. Used this strategy to get the DE :).

Yes, I always use 3 healers, because it allows me to loot DE with pretty good success rate, and the training time is only 27 minutes. I will update my guide with this new strategy (WHM strategy) when I get some good solid free time.
As for TH 7, I don't know, sorry :( I only stayed in TH 7 for a few days and it was a long long long time ago, before DE came out. Maybe you can cut down on the barb & archers, and remove all the goblins :)
I'm town hall 7 and i tried this guide without my clan troops, although I had no more use more DE.
I used 2 healers and 12 giants. When I had a dragon I used 10 giants. The dragon can be used to protect your healers, but take care that it flies straight to the core by cleaning out buildings or using your enemies clan troops. Once I had to use my level 5 barbarian king to get the 2900 DE.
I recommend attacking TH 9 and above for TH 7. You don't have to be afraid of X-Bows as the healer should heal your giants.

Finally gotten Lv5 Minions, Lv5 Wiz, Lv4 Healer, Lv6 giants.
My first attempt with Unity's strategy.
I'm playing on an iphone 5, you can see that I pretty much failed at the 3 points deployment.
Barb wanted to 3 point deploy, but the screen zoomed out to the max.
Giant wanted to 3 point deploy, but end up only spawn at 1 location.
In the end, my wiz deployment was too slow.
But yeah, everything turned out well.
And I didn't want to use my heroes and rage, to see the potential of this army.
I'm currently gold farming at gold III, so its pretty hard to find hard bases to really try this strategy on.
But i'm really just going to use this army combo, as a Semi-Trophy Hunting army.
In which now I will have
1) Barb/Arch/Minion: Quick, fast, gold farming army. // Also can double up as a trophy hunting army up till 2,200
2) Barb/Arch/Giant/WB: Slightly Stronger farming army
3) Unity's Giant/Healer/Wiz + barb/arch/Minion/wb: Semi Trophy Hunting army
4) GoWiPe: Full trophy hunting army.
Thx unity sharp :)
So you used me for one of your combos, eh? Jun!
J/K haha, AWESOME RAID, BTW!!
I would fail big time if I use iphone with this strategy, you are doing much better than me. Usually I use both hands to deploy (1 to deploy and the other to change troop type, and I try to deploy very fast for most of the troops). I usually keep 2 minions and 6 goblins for later to pick off any open loot. :)
:p
Haha, thanks mate :)
I just have 1 question.
Should I be raiding from the direction the CC is at ? Like in the vid at top left ?
Or should I be raiding from the opposite direction of where the CC is at, from bottom right ?
I know about the "sucking effect" enemy's CC troops can provide, to direct your troops into their core.
One point I'm scare of deploying too fast is for the troops to go on a merry go round around the base lol.
Good point regarding leaving of troops, but my main aim was gold/de, there wasnt any gold mines outside haha.
thanks again.
You are most welcome, Jun!!
Deployment zone depends on your objective. If your objective is to farm DE then attack from the side that is closest to the DE, unless the base is quite easy and you have high confidence that you can get the DE storage. I try to avoid the CC side as the CC has a lot of hit points and can potentially fail my DE hunt since most DE raids I do are blitz on tough bases.
I also often choose the attack position to include the DE drill(s). Because you can get 75% from the DE drills, the DE loot would be quite nice if there is substantial amount in the drill container ;) I don't have to attack the DE drills head on but as long as I figure my army can reach the drills, I will try to get both the drills and the DE storage. Sometimes I can only get 1 drill, sometimes more :) I also check the drill's DE level before I consider to include them or not.
I deploy troops fast (including wall breakers) to actually avoid merry go around, if the forward path is cleared, most of your troops will move forward instead of around, especially if there are CC troops sucking them in. The troops with "Any" target preference will be attracted by undestroyed buildings in front, but if you deploy them late, those buildings in front are already destroyed which lead them to do merry-go-around. Another sure way to avoid merry go around is to sacrifice barbs and archers to destroy the outside buildings completely first, then start your main deployment, but this will consume quite a bit of tier 1 troops and I haven't tested it enough to assess its benefit vs. cost yet.
Don't do the CC plug hole (suck troops in) strategy on bases with lv 9-11 walls though, because your army will spend most of the time pounding on the strong walls while enemy CC troops slaughter most of your troops.
Because sometimes I cleared most of the defenses in the middle but no troops left to get the wide open DE storage, I have decided that it is best to keep some troops on reserves for this kind of unlucky situation :(
Unity your dedication to this thread has been amazing bro, keep it up.
:(
This was quite a fail..
didn't even manage to get the 2nd gold storage nor the DE storage.

1) I should have drop minions before healers to distract the AD. (But if drop too many at once, 1 air bomb = gg)
2) Was too slow in dropping wall breakers, so the troops wasnt able to break in fast enough, resulting in dispersion of the troops, which wasnt enough to reach the core.
Any other advice/comment about the fail raid ?
AQ didn't go to core, should've maybe placed cc and other archers before, and definitely use wb a bit more wisely especially when only having a small amount
