If BK and AQ are constantly being upgraded, then when do you ever get to use them.....?

Nice overview on how to get dlix and the point of Cc/BK/AQ pulling units in is the reason why I moved my AQ & BK "out" was after they pulled in 4 dragons to the core  (no, didn't happen on the vault but on other design I tested)
But more to the point. I think you forgot one fairly major point out of this: in order to keep up with the pace you say you can keep is to gem barracks. 2 healers and 4 wizards + other stuff just isn't going to come out without gems 3 times a hour, like your calculations say. Sure, if you ONLY care about dlix, it's ok tactic, but for most, you're wasting awfully lot resources to get that "little". Then again, the guide is only about how to get dlix, not anything else. I think that could be the reason why you use the units/resources the way you do: you don't need anymore gold/lix, only dlix ;) Most aren't in such situation, I think. Also, without gemming, your BK&AQ will need a builder, each, and months and months of downtime. That just isn't gonna happen for most. Only to those, who did max out everything else BEFORE going to dlix.
So a nice guide but not overly useful to most farmers ;) And the rest who want higher lvl heroes gemmed them already :D
Yes, very valid point. I did not need too much elixir when I started DE farming, and I figured I could get gold while I focus on DE. So currently I am focusing on 200k gold/whatever amount of elixir/1400 de when I attack. This way I can upgrade my heroes and walls at the same time, in order to avoid sleeping builders in TH9.
I want to increase the awareness of importance of DE to farmers because if they don't do this, they will end up with sleeping builders near the end of TH9. So if they want super heroes, do not want to spend the gems, and want to minimize the idleness of their builders, then they can use my guide :)
My clanmate Abrennan321 just got to TH9 2-3 weeks ago and he has been upgrading heroes non-stop, as well as doing all the other upgrades for TH9. So he would be the perfect test for your argument. If he can manage upgrading heroes as fast as possible while doing all the other things in TH9, then my guide would be feasible for the general farmer population. Only time will tell - go check out his base in my clan, you might be impressed with how far he has gotten with heroes considering he just reached TH9 2-3 weeks ago. Abrennan will join this thread soon, and post his journey here as well :)
Next DE Farming Video, a bit tougher base, segmented well:

I released the goblins too early in this raid, but it didn't matter much at the end :)
This next video is for a TH 8 with 100% skull walls:

I used his CC to suck in most of my troops to the core :)
This video shows the use of jump spell to get out of sticky situation. When my giants went out of rage area and started pounding on the walls slowly, I made a quick decision to use jump spells to ensure that they will go to the core and tank for my wizards to get the DE. I might have still gotten the DE without the jump spell, but a 30k cost for the jump spell was worth it to ensure that I got the good stuff :)

And here is the last video for now, it shows using jump spell to quickly get to the core of a tough enemy base (lv 9 walls, inferno tower, lv 4 xbows). So nothing can stop us farmers! hahaha
