Mini-Guide for DE Farming - you want super heroes, don't you?

This guide is awesome and I know DE farming is VERY important but the problem is that I don't know how can I find time for DE with endless gold and elixir upgrades in early stages of TH9. Is there a trophy count where you can farm both gold & elixir AND DE at the same time?

I know I must go higher. I usually go to 2000 trophies when I farm DE. The problem is I can't find gold/elixir there (or easily farmable gold/elixir actually). Then again when I farm g/e in 1200 trophies I can't find DE. :(

Some good raids around the 1800-1900 mark, I'd never skip these sorts of bases just for the sake of finding a higher DE count. Similar army to UnitySharp which I'll continue to use while chasing trophies until it no longer works. http://i1337.photobucket.com/albums/...psbfe8b6d4.jpg

Just noticed this thread. I suppose it's nitpicking but I don't like your army composition. However, you're compensating nicely for it by dropping a max level rage on well over 2/3 of the attacks I saw in the attack log. You may want to add that to the "loadout" section given that it appears to be integral to the success of your army composition and deployment. I'm also glad you came around to farming DE in Gold after all that talk about how Crystal was the only efficient trophy range for DE farming.

I do personally agree with the general point of not neglecting heroes. A level 30 AQ three shots (not two) max level towers which is impressive. The biggest problems with upgrading them are that (1) the inferno tower is an extremely hard counter against high hp troops like heroes and (2) recovery times still negate a large portion of the upgrade benefit. But I predicted previously that SC would buff recovery times (which proved accurate) and I personally expect that more hero buffs are coming making them a more attractive investment yet.

It's funny that you commented about that - i'm messin around with a couple different compositions to try to bring down the cost of the troop usage as well as the rage since you have to use one almost every fight for it to work as intended. Nothing locked down yet but just got done with a trophy push so haven't had much practice. Hopefully we can find a composition that is under 30 mins and works just as well. I still been using 12Gi/60a/45b/30g/12wb @ 25.5 minand i do fairly well with TH9 bases but as you stated - the TH10 bases with the infernos - cant seem to combat that.

Heroes help you a lot more in the long run than walls. Walls can only do so much in the high trophy leagues.... Everyone and their mothers will be using rage Pekkas, Wiz, and Drags, all of which will bust through walls like nothing when Raged. High leveled heroes however will let you trample a well defended base and if you are really good at deploying heroes at the right time and preventing them from taking any or little damage, the regen time is almost negligible.

Is this a response to me? I agree that heroes shouldn't be neglected and don't think the return on walls is worth the investment if builders are idle. I've posted those opinions consistently whenever the subjects come up.

I disagree about preserving heroes undamaged at high levels. If you're attacking mostly TH8 and low TH9 as in Unity's videos I do think it's possible. But defensive base dps jumps by orders of magnitude between TH8 and TH10 while offensive strength makes only marginal gains. And on top of that, Th10 gets the hero killer defense: the inferno tower. Preserving the BK undamaged becomes a lost cause, and even the AQ requires extreme attention or sacrifices to loot gained to preserve.

Bottom line, hero uptime diminishes as town hall level increases. This is fine if you're playing on a trophy hunter's long build-time attack cycle, but suboptimal for farmers.

I as a farmer like to use heroes ONLY if its a last resort to get the resources. Thats why getting them higher to me = better

Anyone know a good range for DE. Im th8 and around 1750 trophies. I just cant find enough, i keep searching and searching. Where should i go?
